Weapon Delay / Agro

<DIV>Does how fast you are hitting the mob play a role in agro at all? I'm asking becasue I'm one dead Emp Fyst away from getting the SSoY and I'm trying to determine if it is a viable 1h to use while tanking. Would the short delay / proc generate agro or would I still be better off with a med delay, higher damage weapon?</DIV>

For pure DPS purposes a 2 hander is still the best choice. If you're tanking then going with a Longword or Scimitar paired up with a shield is best. Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't the SSoY labeled a Duel Weild weopon? If so we'll suffer the same problem we currently do with the PGT, and that is having a poor attack rating cause of our non-existant DW skill. </span><div></div>

I was just looking at the delay and thinking the faster the swing the greater the agro, like the pre-nerf moss covered twig from EQ1. I knew it was a dual wield weapon but I didn't even consider the dual wield skill heh. </P>

<P>SSOY has a 22ish damage rating and 70ish proc %5 (going off memory here) with a 1.4 delay its on my wall with the crook sbh sbd they really arent that impressive looking sadly (Although the SBS i got from gromzak for killing fyst is a lovely alternative to my cedar imbued kited shield.... which i only use while trade skilling</P> <P>Considering your fulginate long sword is 1.7 delay with a 30ish damage rating and if you get it imbued it gives ya a nice 134-228 or some some odd proc %5</P> <P>The ebon longsword is 39.1 damage rating with a 1.7 delay imbued with a nice proc makes a wonderful weapon till you start your prismatics</P>
