<DIV>Hello fellow Shadowknights,</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I've just dinged 20 and am officially a Sk :smileyhappy: I would like your input into how I could improve my generation of aggro especially on group mobs and early lvl 20 combat tactics in general. I find single mobs or duos are much easier to hold aggro on than groups of 3 or more.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Normally I pull with my dd  Righteous Anger</DIV> <DIV>Open up a HO</DIV> <DIV>Attempt a hit with Righteous Blow or the faster cycle Wild Swing</DIV> <DIV>Then use Shout which is aoe.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'll then use Heroes Challenge, which genereages sllightly more hate than Inflame. Before proceeding to use my other abilities such a charge, unyeilding advance, kick, and other attacks while my taunts recycle.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Now I've read that group and self buffs help maintain aggro. Two spells that i've identified at this level are Call to Arms and Toughness. I have not actively been using these spells in combat, firstly I would not like to self target to cast a buff as MT and MA anyone assisting me would then be targetting me instead of the mob. Can you cast Call to Arms and Toughness without self targetting and still gain the spell effects? I think Call to Arms yes you can but not toughness would that be correct?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Another buff spell Demonstration of Faith which wards a group member, unfortunately this one for sure needs me to target a group member and again I dont want to switch from mob to group member during battle while being MT (with no MA). So does this make Demonstration of Faith a before combat ability?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Finally there are two other combat abilities I am guilty of not using they are Intervene and Knights Stance, are these abilities worth casting or would that add more overhead in what I have to manage as a tank. The Knights Stance I can see being useful when you have other high dps in the group as it would help your healer.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

Once you've engaged the mobs and you're the target buffs/heals or benifituary spells will land on the mobs target (You) so there is no need to target yourself at that point. Toughness believe it or not is a huge agro generator, I still use it at 38 as a low power agro tool on large groups (4-6). A good strategy that I've used for agro in group mobs is this: Pull with any ranged nuke (I use Draw Strength for the range) Start an HO using ranged attacks, finish with AE taunt Immediatly Ward myself Cast Toughness Cast Group attack buff (Insatiable Hunger for me) (lots of Agro) Redo AE taunt by now - and just recycle AE taunts and direct taunts on the targeted mob. At that point I shouldn't lose agro unless some yahoo has decided to not assist me, in which case they get GE'd and humiliated. <div></div>

Agree with all above mentioned tactics for keeping agro.  Works like a charm. GE'd?  What's that mean?<span>:smileysurprised:</span> <div></div>
