Adept 1 spells

<DIV>I play on the Nektulos server, and have become very frustrated with my SK. I still only have app 2 spell abilities, and am lvl 27. I have grouped up, and gone into zone's (that I have read in forums) thats been known to drop adept spells more frequently. But have not come across any, for my subclass! I actually had to buy me the adept 1 spell for Righetous anger, just to get myself a direct damage spell that I could get some decent damage out of when pulling. Anyways...from my understanding these adept drops are now to become no trade (please correct me if I'm wrong), so I won't have to worry about spending all my hard earned silver :mantongue:. But my frustration is, when I bought this adept spell, I examined it, and it said I was extremely over qualified for it.  Now if this is the case, shouldn't adept's be more frequent? I mean I don't understand why it's so hard to get an adept spell for my SK. I've been able to locate 8 for my alt -- Predator, who's only lvl 13.  I can only play for a couple hours a night, but I think adept 1 drop's need to be more frequent. Unless someone can tell me where and when to get some good adept 1 drop's, or why it seems so rare. </DIV> <DIV>Otherwise, I think I may just delete my SK, he doesn't seem to be worth while, and definately is not fun to play anymore. You are gonna have to buy your adepts. EVERYONE buys almost all of their adepts. I went like 20 levels w/o getting an adept drop. They are not supposed to be a common drop like XXX meat. Also I haven't read anythign to sugges they would become no drop. But i highly doubt they are. So suck it up and buy like the rest of everyone else in the game.

<DIV>Simple enough, you get adepts you can't use.  You sell them to other players, then you buy adepts you can use.  Also if your into tradeskills being an Alchy can help alot till an adept comes up for sell (being able to make your own appIV's).  Plus you can make some money selling WORTS and spells you make.  Or at least make friends with a good Alchy,:smileywink: .  Plus if you get lucky enough to get Silver cluster/coral/Jasper etc.  you can then make or have someone make Adept 3's.  Have three adept 3's myself .... Knight Stance, Vigor of trust and charge (yeah I really should of done it on inflame/taunt line, but love charge ... consider it my fun spell :smileyvery-happy<img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>In my time playing I think I've gotten 3 actual SK adepts that droped while adventuring, fortuntly all three times group was "need before greed on looting".  They are fairly rare it seems, and odds of you actually being the one to get are unlikely.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Suggest you look at upgrading taunts first, then knight stance line, DD's, pet, Dot's etc.  Aggro generation is first priority IMHO.  Good Luck</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>V/R</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Blackoath 29th Troll Shadow Knight</DIV>

I'm not trying to flame you, but really, how did you get to Level 27 without finding more than one Adept I? Haven't you been searching the broker or the fence? All of my combat arts and spells are between Adept I-III, barring Taunt and Kick, which are Apprentice IV. Search the broker and fence when you log in and before you log out.

<P>I'm 40SK and found all the adepts for my spells. Adepts do make huge dif than appr. Just check the vendor and black market often and i'm sure u will find the ones u need.  HOwever, master is hard to find, no doubt about it and if u find 1, its cost is insanely high, >3p. I can afford it but don't want to pay that much for just 1 spell. </P> <P>PS: I solo very well vs ^^ 3lvl below me..<img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> The key to max out your character's skill is to pay attention to stats. I find SK is powerful if u can increase agi, str, and sta. However, as for my exp I focus on agi alot.</P>

I generally end up getting into good groups. Normally team up with a r/l friend who plays a serker, so don't have to MT to much. But! I will say, I have had several characters that I've grouped with, and been MT with, they have said to me that I am *$%#&! good tank. I generally am able to keep aggro pretty well. Of course I lay ground rules prior (Generally tell no high powered nukes, debuffs, or wards at start of fight), to ensure "Hate" level is maintained. Generally I pull with my d.o.t., then use Decree of Decay, tainted essence, tainted sacrament, inflame, shield bash (My shield bash, is a special trate, when you pick trates, I chose that over which I believe is Adept 2 quality..not sure), and close out with Righteous Anger. Then everyone can nuke and debuff to the hearts content. I generally at that point have hate level pretty high, so do pretty good. Always good to carry a good healer with ya too. But I do get by for the most part, (run around on everyones coat tails :mantongue: j/k),. Just I know I can be doing so much better and do so much  more damage with adepts. Plus would like to solo more!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<P><FONT color=#99ccff size=3>LOL, so pretty much you're saying "after I use around 7 abilities, THEN people can do their jobs - and I maintain aggro WOW!"  </FONT><FONT color=#99ccff size=3>I understand the logic behind no highpowered nuke/heals/debuffs at the beginning of the fight.  But I think you need to concentrate on upgrading things like taunt before nukes.  </FONT></P> <P><FONT color=#99ccff size=3>And the name of the game in EQ2's market is trade.  You'll be extremely lucky to find all the adepts you need (randomly) before their usefullness wears out and you have received new ability upgrades.  </FONT></P>

Guess I'm just stingy, with my coin....especially since it seems everyone is jakin the price up on these adept spells. They are extremely over priced! Oh well, enough complaining.....thanks for all the flames! w00t!
