Get a piece of Ebon, and then a piece of Luminous Extract and find a 50 Weaponsmith. In all honesty you'll get the best bang for your buck going that way. As for a shield, now that the Shiney Brass Shield is fixed and will produce Kite Shields I highly recommend getting one. <div></div>

It is true, you can sell back the buckler and get the kite SBS. Also while the recommendations to get and ebon and get forged imbued pristine ebon weapon are good they are a bit unrealistic for low 40s, unless you got some serious $ (depending on your server). I would suggest upgrading to something like Icen Guard Langseaux or the pinecrusher (can't remember the exact stats but was decent good for working blunt.) A 2hb that is dirty cheap is the one from Nek1 (sorry can't remember the name). There are usually a lot of them for sale (about 3g on my server) and it is better then most 2hb short of ebon. Also can get a 2hs called Heart of Reaver (caps out about 46) from the Lost Idols of modinthule quest.
