So, if the lack of a piercing skill is the reason we can't use Halberds, then please explain Flamberges?(For those who don't know, Flamberge is a great sword that pierces. Useful on raids, check it out.)

<DIV>Halberds are classified as Great Axe, and since we can't use axes we are banned from using Halberds. If the weapon listing is fixed as Moorguard says it will be in the next patch (giving us axes), then you should be able to use a Halberd.</DIV>

<DIV>Moorgard did not say in the next patch. Moorgard said probably not the upcomming maior patch, but the next major patch. He said probably not in big patch #5 but big patch #6. Big patch #5 is in test now.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I expect about 2-4 weeks before axes makes it to the servers as the big patches have been bi-weekly or weekly.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Ishnar</DIV><p>Message Edited by Ishnar on <span class=date_text>03-16-2005</span> <span class=time_text>08:56 PM</span>

There are other weapons that follow similarly, noting the most common... arrows. There are a variety of arrows in the game that both slash and pierce, but in all reality they still fall under the Ranged attack score for to hit purposes.</P> <P> </P> <P>So even though a spell like Lucan's Pact lowers pierce skill, Flamberge is left unaffected by this as it still falls under the slash category. A good way to know is if you get a Slashing (##) skill up while using it.</P>
