The [Removed for Content] versus The Bird

Is anyone using Tainted Sacrament Adept 3 or Master 1? I was just wondering what level pet they would potentially create.I am using Adpet 1, and it creates a even-con one down-arrow Puddle-o-mud that I am plenty happy with. If i remember corecctly, Apprentice 1 used to give me a green-con double down-arrow.Also, what is the over-all difference between the pet from Tainted and Cursed sacrament (other than the [Removed for Content] versus the bird)?

Just upgraded to adept1 and it switched to that white one down arrow [Removed for Content]. Used to be the green 2 down one.

I have both cursed and tainted caress (Im level 3<img src="/smilies/b2eb59423fbf5fa39342041237025880.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> and they summon the same essence <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> FYI Cursed caress adept 1 has the same description as Cursed Caress app 1The only difference between tainted and cursed (according to their in-game description) is that cursed decreased slash/peirce/crush abilities of enemy by 7, whereas tainted was by 4. The difference in power consumtion is huge, though - thing it was 41 for tainted Adept1 and 87 for Cursed adept 1.Now, when using it last night (I just got it) even though they both say 10% chance, I was getting a lot more using cursed. I was able to use my pet almost every fight and come out with more less even amounts of essences <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />I am very happy with the way things are now <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Only thing I'd like to see is a fix to draw strength upgrades and graven embrace.

leveling an Sk is just strange. One level I'm complaining about my Dps and function and 2 levels later my damage output jumps considerably.

Dinged level 39, and the pet stayed at level 38 one down arrow. So I guess there is a level cap on the pet, which now answers my original question <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />At level 40, the new pet will be more powerful simply due to the fact it can continue to grow with you, whereas the tainted pet caps at level 38. Perhapes having an adpet III or master in this will allow the pet to grow to higher levels befor eit caps out.

Just dinged 28 and noticed while using tainted sacrement that the '[Removed for Content]' responds to every command while in combat with 'I'm sorry Francis I cannot do that'. Is this common? I cannot tell if it's just not doing anything or is just saying that it's not doing anything.Any thoughts?

So an app4 pet will be even-conned until 37, then cap there. An Adept 1 will be the same until the shadowknight dings 39, and the pet stays at 38. So Adept 3 is only going to raise your pet up to even-conned for one level duration.If the same rules apply to the Cursed Sacrement pet, then you get App 4 at level 40, and you have an even con-pet up to 50. I hope that makes sense lol.Of course, this is based on the assumption that i have put two and two together correctly in this thread.

Interesting. I've been trying to get that thing to do just about everything in the dialogue box. Funny that it just does what it does. I seem to remember reading a post with people posting that there are tricks to using your 'pet'. I imagined that it would have to have something to do with the dialogue box and the commands, but, being that the commands are totally irrelevant I'm wondering if the 'pet' can do anything more? I enjoy it and it definitely helps in sticky situations.

As for the value of moving past a 37 (app IV) pet it really depends, because mobs get new skills at certain levels, for example way back when I was pouding the beavers on beaver Island I could take groups of 22 beavers (or maybe it 21) but when it moved up 1 more level they got barrage and they would beat the holy living crap out of me, hence if the [Removed for Content] gets any new skills 37-40 it could very well be worth the upgrade. </P> <P>Also since upgrading past app IV seems only to come into play level 37+ I would imagine that at 26 having an adept 3 or master 1 pet helps 0% which I find to be pretty durned disappointing, when I upgrade a spell I would like to see a greater immediate impact rather then just a higher power cost to cast, waiting 11-12 levels for it to kick in is misleading and would have been better to spend that rare cluster on a differant spell. (Seeing as they are tougher to get the lower level you are) at 37 you could farm nektulos/TS to your hearts content seeing as how grey it is at those levels (not all grey but at least 99%)</P> <P> </P> <P><BR></P>
