I think we would all like to keep out epic 2.0 pet due to the fact that is does nice dps, threat comes to us instead of pet, and the fact that the buffs treat it like all the pet archtypes which is cool. Please allow the summoner epic 2.0 pet to level up with us and such. Currently my pet is not leveling up with me and sometimes is level 100 sometimes 103 lol. I would prefer to use him with all his abilities then having to go back to using mage or scout pet. I spent a lot of time on 2.0 for the pet to be useless only after 8 months seems to be unfair and since 2.0 weapon is going to level up, and we were all told 2.0 weapons were going to be good for a while, it would seem that the spells you get with them would be good for a while too. <br /> <br />Thanks

I'm no dev, but it seems pretty obvious that this is only because of the beta. Devs have said the weapons such as the epic will be viable thru this expac, so I'm sure that includes our pets. Be patient.

I'm on the other end of that idea, i'd prefer honestly if our outdated pets were worthwhile again, and instead our reaper/planeswalker turned into a buff that turns our pets into something beefy. It would fix our broken dehate AA trees, and bring back a bit of flexibility/options.

I'm pretty sure that we simply lost the pet when we went up a tier after Epic 1.0. Well, ok, we didn't lose the pet, he just didn't scale with us. The new tier of pets was what we used, and we did Epic Repercussions to get the buffs for ourselves separated from the pointy stick.<br /> <br />Edit: Ok, now I remember. When we did Epic Repercussions, the buff we got has a rather cryptic effect with the text "Improves the damage of the Conjuror's pet". No indication of how much that buff is. This was the trade off for losing the pet to level changes.

However our epic is going to still be good as a weapon, and he myth pet lasted through Kunark and TSO. Now we didn't even have it a year and it was very time consuming. To have a year of it after all of that work devs did and us doing the quest seems like time not well spend then. If we could get some response fro the devs, to this would be appreciated. If someone has information or able to get a response from the Dev team would be appreciated

The only reason we had it through TSO was because TSO was not a level cap increase. I don't disagree that the time frames are different, but back in Kunark, at level, getting the Mythical was not a small deal. Typically only a couple guilds on every server could do that content (Nexona being the typical gate for most guilds), and the pet was Mythical only.<br /> <br />I too would like to know what the Devs feel is appropriate here.

1. I had my myth, and it was NOT cool to see the jolly green giant useless by the next expac. I would be furious if they did that again.<br /><br />2. ...but they aren't gonna. Someone is reporting on the mage thread that the pets are fixed.

For anyone watching this thread who hasn't heard yet, the 2.0 pets WILL scale with your level in PoP.

did someone compare the dps of the new GM pet (available in GM choices) and the epic pet ?

Earar - I would be astonished if they are close. Epic has all abilities of all master pets + celestial strike, and melees for 140mil+ (I have the ancient). Where everything has just been getting a linear bump in numbers, I don't see how the levels will matter, especially as the epic scales with you.
