What is required to get this achievement? My apologies if it was answered somewhere else but if so I did not see it.

At what point do you actually get new quests from the various factions? I think I completed three quests and now all I have is access to now seems to be two repeatables.

Do the repeatables three or four times and you'll see new quests pop up after.

I'm only doing the adventuring quests at the moment as there are no TS quests to do but I don't like this start - grab a faction and do repeatables until more quests open up - I'm sorry but that's boring as hell to me - there's no story there.

I was surprised when the repeatable quests showed up so quickly, and was ready to just stop doing the quests, but decided to do the repeatables no more than five times before giving up, just in case they did unlock more quests. After the third or fourth round, however, new feathers showed up, so I am glad it was not necessary to do the repeatables to max faction. I haven't finished the first set of faction quests yet, though, so I don't know if more repeatables are going to show up later in this questline.

Repeatable quests are just off-putting to me unless it's made worth my while with a nice house item

It's not so bad doing repeatable as long as it's just a few times. The faction I worked on had a reason to repeat so there is story there.

I'm happy to work for my rewards and of course would like a different quest every time but there are limited resources and I'd rather repeat a few (not too many!) times and leave the devs room to work on more important things like new spells and class balancing.

So far, I think they have it just right.

I hit another point with repeatable quests, and thought, "Oh, here we go now...26,500 faction needed to hit 50k faction, and only earning 850 faction per repeatable quest, but it turns out it's just another short term repeatables...at 30k faction you get more quests again. Someone told me that there is a third repeat like that, but each set of repeatables is only for a short time before you unlock more quests. I agree, Ellah, this isn't so bad, doing it this way. Much preferable over repeating the same quests over and over 30 - 50 times.
