Hello I was wondering are there any good single handed weopons for us at lvl37. Im using a bloodstained hammer this is IMO slightly better then a normal crafted weopon but its blue now and i have been searching on the brokers for a upgrade for ages with no joy. Im mostly looking for a sword but all i get are axes and shortswords. I heard the Ghoulbane is doable but lots of effort and i dont have a guild.

At 37 I happened to get a feysteel scimitar in Nektropos (Probably more like 35/36.. been a bit). Was a fine weapon and just recently upgraded to an Ebon Flamberge at 40. What an AWESOME looking sword <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> And it's nice stat wise too. (dropped in Rivervale)

The Ghoulbane is a great sword.

Yes, it is a piercing weapon. However I'm finding that, despite my lack of "skill", I'm hitting pretty damned hard it. It's a nice weapon to tide me over til I find a big nasty hammer or sword <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><p>Message Edited by vTenebrae on <span class=date_text>01-25-2005</span> <span class=time_text>07:56 AM</span>
<DIV>Are you sure the flambergs are piercing? (not in game till later to see myself).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I have a Feyiron Flamberg dropped in Nek Caslte that I just was able to start using at level 32. It uses Great Sword Skill, one-handed and my damage is considereable with it (considering I have never used a piercing waepon thus far in game). I have had increases to my slashing skill while using it too.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>And yes, it is an AWSOME looking one-handed sword.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I thought that Crusaders couldn't use piercing weapons.</DIV>

No you can equip the Ghoulbane at 32, but it does reach max stats until 40, its about the best 1 hander i have seen for those levels

<DIV>41 SK, and I'm still using the Bloodstained Hammer. Havn't had any luck finding anything that's an actual upgrade to this, at least untill 42.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Carved Cederwood Knotted Club</DIV> <DIV>+4 nt +4agi +5str +3wis </DIV> <DIV>+31health +29power</DIV> <DIV>Your Dam: 29 - 86 (24 -103 at lvl 47)</DIV> <DIV>Base Dam: 16 - 47</DIV> <DIV>Delay: 1.8 Sec</DIV> <DIV>skill: 210-235</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Pretty sure I picked this up in RE. So it's a long wait, but seems to be the best I have found yet. Although I'm still exploring CT, maybe somthign better will come outta there.</DIV>

When you highlight the Slash skill in the skills window it says that it is used to calcualt damage for all swords and axes.Still, I am very happy with that damage/speed ratio of the Feyiron Flamberg I picked up in Nek Castle. For a one handed sword is pretty good, and the stats on it are great. Also, its a pretty mean looking weapon. The hammers are just too slow for me.

Im not sure how detrimental that is but it makes me too nervous about buying a high lvl flamberg. I just bought a ebon sword that i can use at lvl 42 but I thought about it i could probably find a teir5 weopon smith and get a forged weopon made that would require 190 skill which shouldn't be too bad.

There is no pierce skill in the game. When I equip the flamberg, it does not lower my attack rating at all. When using it it raised my slashing skill, while it does piercing damage as displayed in the combat text. In the 'Skills' window, again there is no piercing skill at all, and the description under the slashing skill says slahing "determines damage when using ALL swords and axes."Now, as I said, I examined this thouroughly because I was shocked to find out that it was a peircing weapon and that I was using it. I don't know why I thought that there was a pierce skill in this game and that crusader classes couldn't use them, but it turns out I was wrong (unless this was changed sometime after launch). That being said, I am using my Feysteel (not Feyiron as I mistakenly posted earlier) Flamberg and enjoying the results very much. It seems a perfect match between speed and damage for a one-handed weapon, and the evil eyes in runnyeye REALLY don't like piercing damage <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Plus, I can't think of a more 'evil' looking blade.
