What Weapons?

Have one crushing weapon and one slashing weapon. That will keep your skills up in both. I've also heard rumor that some mobs are more resistant to one type of damage then the other (but have yet to see someone prove it statistically).If you're the tank, use a shield + 1H for the defensive abilities.If you're a damage dealer, use a 2H for damage (unless you have a really uber 1H, but be careful because our bash includes a taunt component).Just be glad we only have 2 combat skills (crushing and slashing), in EQ1 I think we had 5 and I used to carry around a bag full of weapons (boy, was that *heavy*).

<DIV>I keep my SK 1h sword on me at all times and Skullcrusher(Fallen Gate quest item) 1h hammer and a sheild with me at all times.  I do not know if it makes a difference on mobs but I like to use the hammer on skells just in case.</DIV>

Look for the carbonite weapons (made by crafters). The non-pristine ones are good up until level 26/28 before they max out, the pristine don't max out till level 30.I picked up a carbonite war hammer last night (non-pristine) for use from 21-24.
