New to this class (and enjoying it - my guardian is going to gather dust ) Currently lvl 33, with 20 aa's. Following advice here, I went 4-4-8 in STR. The remaining STR line doesn't look too appealing. Should INT be next, to get to the increase in Melee crit chance? Or possibly STA, for the defense increase? Or, does anyone recommend going to the bruiser tree now and putting points into dps or taunts? Any thoughts will be much appreciated.

The INT line is definatly a nice one, personally I spent 8 points on the crit. On the way to the crit you also get eagle spin which allows to to get you back shot in, (can't remember the name at that lvl). I think alot is in personal preferance with the way you spec the brawler AA's and the way you like to play. If you want to look at my brawler tree here is a link. http://eq2players.station.sony.com/characters/character_profile.vm?characterId=344206108

Hope this helps, I am content with my AA line, I am sure someone else has some pretty good spec's too

4/4/8 Int. Definitely. After that, well the taunts are good if you find yourself often tanking in a group, but otherwise I'd recommend 4/4/8 stamina before going down the bruiser dps tree. I figure that mantis-bolt having a chance to proc off every attack is going to be better than increasing the damage of only three of your CAs.

Emdex, is there a reason you didn't put AA in Eagle's Talon? Well, in general it seem people only do the 4/4/8 and then stop. I went down the Int line 4/4/8/8. Is this not recommendable and could I use the 8AA better?Cheers,Basam 57 Bruiser on GukMirakan 27 Inquisitor (retired)

Ok first i did full str line and thenchanged it and had a goat int line .Ive maxed that line out now and for pvp the eagle spin root line is nice but my dps seems to be lacking now.

I have had another look and str and i cant see a way of having that line and int line going at same time due to the weapons u need for eagle spin.

I keep getting told that str is the best line for dps but is it really?

Well my bruiser is only 28 now but I have 4-4-6 in STR and notice a huge difference in damage compared to dw's. The mit debuff is nice also

If you are using STR AA line, then you have to not use weapons most of the time. However, the 3rd ability of the INT line (the 8 in 4/4/ does not have a weapon requirement so it will apply even if you are using no weapons. If you need a quick eagle spin, equip the necessary weapon, do your spin, and then unequip it.

I didn't put any points in Eagle Talon because that is not what I am trying for...Eagle Talon is parry. Myself I am am trying to get the most DPS I can out of my bruiser so I went with all the crits and damage procs. I have tried different AA's and respecced many times trying different combonations. IHO I get the most DPS out of my bruiser with this set up ( unless I got lucky on the raid parse:smileyvery-happy

There is many times when I solo or do other things I wish I spent points elsewhere; because I see myself taking damage when I shouldnt, but DPS is what I am looking for right now.
