<DIV>If a Brawler choose the strenght line on achievment to do DPS, off course is better than a legendary weapon but i don't think that right now has a sense.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Because after SOE has added the "Adornments", players do not have only a weapons and attributes, but could have a bonus attack that already exists in the legendary weapon, + an adornment that adds another one....</DIV> <DIV><BR>For example: Imagine a player with 2 dual wield legendary weapons with attributes and bonus attacks....ok, now add on each of them an adornment for another bonus attack (is this possible)  or, if you don't want it, another adornment for more attributes.</DIV> <DIV>I don't want to think what happens if there are FABLED weapons O_O!!!!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Maibe a monk could have a change, because of its attack speed....but a bruiser has some "Handicaps".</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><BR>I think they should increase the attack speed on unarmed from 2.5 to 2.0  or in the line of STR bring the increasing of DPS from 20% to 30%</DIV>

<P>I haven't seen any adornments for DW weapons that could raise them, DPS-wise, even near Fabled.  And if you filled out all your other adornments <EM>to</EM> get them to Fabled, then a STR AA bruiser would still be better, since he/she could outfit those adornments in whatever way he or she chooses, while you would be limited to +DPS to try and get to Fabled.  And anyway, I have not seen adornments which you could add to get Legendary weapons (say, 45 DR at 70th level) to Fabled equivalency.</P> <P>On top of that, for bruisers starting out, the STR AA line is a <EM>constantly upgrading</EM> Fabled weapon.  Imagine the cost if every tenth level you had to upgrade your adornments to get your Legendary weapon to Fabled class.</P> <P>No, unless you are carrying Fableds, even at the end, the STR AA build is hard to beat, unless your bruiser is used in very specific ways, say, a raid bruiser where the DEX build makes sense somehow, or the like, something where damage output is not the priority.</P>

<P>the biggest chunk of dps we get from unarmed is because of the 96% double attacks</P> <P>not because of the "bonus damage"</P>

<DIV>off course 96% of double attack.</DIV> <DIV>But it's not always....if you look the combat log when fighting a mob, you see that sometime it's 1 punch that hit the target, often are 2, rarely are 3 and very rarely are 4....</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>My Lucky is that i built my bruiser on : STR:  4 4 8 4 1 (Chi) and INT: 4 4 8 5    This configuration allow me to do HIGH DPS and some Tanking ability (parry and risposte have been increased), and whenever i want i can activate Chi.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I suggest this alternative DPS configuration, as i beated people stronger than me, half/full fabled with Dreadnaught rank <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />  and i am mastercrafted with treasured and legendary pieces ......You must try to beleive <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>One of these days i'll post this configuration and the tests i did with it against other classes on PVP</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>PS: the Chi does not recharge every 15 minutes but every 10! this because every time we swithc it automatically reduces its recasting time</DIV>

By the time I had 16 AA I had enough plat saved to buy two fabled fist weapons. Now I have +3 def adornment on each fabled so I put my KoS AA in the wisdom line. I would think unarmed fighting is obsolete these days.<div></div>

You can get the first 16 AA extremely fast now. Probably before lvl 20, or if not, then soon after. Especially if you do any sort of collections turn ins.The thing is, your fists with the Strength line at 16 points put in will give you fabled quality DPS that scales with level. So even if you can get fabled weapons for your 20s, you'll still have to go and buy more with more adornments at 30.. 40.. 50.. and 60. In the end, to keep up with the Str line at 4, 4, 8 throughout your leveling, you'd probably end up having to spend ~100plat or spend time not at a comparable damage. For leveling DPS, the Strength line kicks [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn].In the end game, even +damage adornments on weapons won't add enough DPS to make a legendary weapon catch up. If you are looking at straight up DPS numbers, you are still better off with Unarmed + Str 4,4,8 until you get Fabled weapons. If you want defensive/tanking or utility, then weapons will have a lot more <b>options</b> than unarmed, of course! No one is disputing that. I have the Str line going right now but use weapons in Epic fights because I have power procs on them! But to answer the question of DPS... unarmed beats all but fabled.<div></div>

<DIV>Tier 7 Fableds run at 60 plat on AB.  Sometimes for as "low" as 30.  Me, after 66 levels of adventuring <EM>and</EM> crafting, I have maybe 15 plat on me.  So, STR AA is my line for a time.</DIV>
