That the Bruiser fabled set is the only pure offensive set out of the fabled fighter sets (i know i don't have berserker set, but i was unable to find a link)

Out of these 3/5/7 effects the bruiser is the only set that is purely offensive, the monk is a close second but does increase mit in offensive stance and gain 15 deflection at 5 items. So basically we get no further defense or hate gain like other fighters. Adding this to our sad new AA's if you are walking the path of a tanking Bruiser it is looking more and more grim at the end of the tunnel.

In fact, the Legendary set gives a set bonus where you proc a stoneskin effect when you attack, 1.8 times per minute. Better for tanking than these set bonuses by far.

Legendary set is geared more toward tanking bruisers, with the mindset (I'm sure) that a raiding bruiser is going to get more out of offensive abilities, since they are not relied upon for tanking on raids. On the other hand, the fabled set is geared more toward raiding bruisers, and (shock and horror!) these items drop out of EoF raid zones.Bottom line: If you're after tanking items as a bruiser, you probably aren't going to be getting that fabled set. And even if you are, so what? It's not like the stats suck; you're going to tank just fine with those items, in any capacity that you'd logically finding yourself tanking in. Bruisers have enough trouble as a class right now; trying to find more things to complain about isn't going to help at all, it's just going to distract you from what actually needs to be done.Legendary ==> Tanking ==> Grouping/Casual BruisersFabled ==> DPS ==> Raiding BruisersMakes sense to me, and seems remarkably well done on Sony's part. IMO the only people who should be complaining about their sets are mages.

Message Edited by rckmer on 01-05-2007 09:43 AM

I certainly agree with the conclusion of Rckmer, but i just fail to see why it is that the bruiser is the ONLY fighter that gains absolutely no defensive atributes from the fabled set. I mean we are still fighters right?, Why is it so bad that we get to tank in raids?

And you do remember before LU13 right, once one class makes something trivial the bar will be set to their standard, If we as tanks do not remain on par with other tanks soon we wont be able to tank many things!

Message Edited by Dananeb on 01-05-2007 11:34 AM

Message Edited by Dananeb on 01-05-2007 11:36 AM

I rather like the fact the fabled set is completely focused on Dps. Except for the + parry. etc. Our set abilities are huge for DPS. Double atk is major increase to dps and +% to proc is substantial dps increase as well. Be happy that we dont have to worry about overcapping w any of these abilites because the way it looks like gaurds will be again overcapped o defense skill (455) because of thier sets huge focus on it.

Now what i find funny is the monk set that 7 piece set says it adds mitigation to the offensive stance. NEWSFLASH theres no mitigation on the monks stance. So i am compleltey baffled to what it truly adds. Unless it adds mitigation to the defensive stance and atk speed to the offensive stance which would make it a very good end ability.

Message Edited by Gungo on 01-05-2007 12:34 PM

Don't forget this : in a raid, a bruiser is a back tank. In raid, my avoidance is at 71%, 72%, only with agility at 700+. we only need more mitigation, we can have it with us self buff, vigourous spirit, the one monk don't have. And us self buff Battle Frenzy, buff us strength and agility, and the monk's one buff wisdom and strength. We also have some great AA tree for back tanking with the first and the last in EoF AA.All these effects on armor set are only gadget, the only way to be a great bruiser, it's to think it and do the best we can :smileyvery-happy:
