<DIV>I'm operating under the philosophy that the only thing better than a ratongan bruiser is two ratongan bruisers.  Anyone who thinks different can come tells me himself, and talk into my good ear *pounds his fist*.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>We're dead set on both being bruisers, expectation to have at least mastercrafts from head to toe, both well familiar with the class and its strengths and weaknesses in a PvE setting.  We are spanking new to PvP, not even cracked the book on what special rules there are.  Neither of us are terribly competitive, but we do consider ourselves competent players and we hope to appreciate and adapt to intelligent opposition.  We don't really expect to leave the colony until we've enough rares and raws to hide in a crafting hole for a long while once we hit the mainland.  Tradeskill professions decided are alchemist and woodworker.  Both of us expect to tinker.  We are not terribly concerned with being a PvP hunting duo, more just being able to knock some heads together if we get pounced while harvesting.  For PvP hunting, I imagine we'd at least expect to group with a healer for sustainable performance, a scout for tracking.  I imagine our primary activities most of the time initially will be harvesting for loam, crafting, and questing, and we just want to wait for the first hapless souls who pick on us so we can fill their screens up with as much kung fu as possible.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I just wanna know from those familiar with PvP, and who might have some insight on how to adapt, what their initial impressions are, suggestions at overcoming weaknesses.  We don't expect it to be easy considering no evac, no dedicated healer, our reliance on mounts for travel speed.  So if anyone would like to drop a little knowledge on me, or perhaps just chime in with your estimate of exactly how much booty we would actually kick, it would be much appreciated.</DIV>

You guys should be able to handle yourselves nicely...only one problem is u have no snare or root.. so defending yourself will be easy(so to speak) but trying to hunt may be a challenge so as you said grping with someone who can snare/root will be nice<div></div>

<P>Aye, that's part of consideration in being tinkerers.  Ever hear of Troll Snot Flingers and Gnomish Net Launchers? Both are instant cast also.. hehe ... sure, it has a chance to effect us too, but we're figuring if the snare or root hits us too, we just have to be ready to remove it from ourselves.  On my AB bruiser, I've gotten used to using a net launcher to root adds when my mezz/fear is down, and it works pretty well.  We'll have our ratonga special racial item too before we even hit lvl 10, a necklace which can be used to apply snare to target.  Both of us having just the necklace, we can stack the snares to slow them to a crawl.  We'll probably go Str aa line to not need weapons while we are still moving through levels, but once we are using fabled weps and respec aa's after, we'll be using the cold adornment probably for snare proc.  We'll also have sonic fists/drag eventually, so should be fun to yank the poor guys back by their hair for a sound pummeling.</P> <P>Between the mezz, fear, ratonga necklace, snot flingers, net launchers, perhaps even agi hex dolls (not sure how easily that would be used with the long cast time), cold snare on slashing weapon, sonic fists, drag, and timing our skills together to maximize our stun durations, we hope to keep most enemies from getting too far away.</P>

the level 25 fabled bone wand from the Vault instance in fallen gate applies a snare/dot which can be used while moving. as far as i know there is no level that can outright resist it. a very useful item to look into. all you need to do is throw your weapon icons on hotbar to switch back and forth.im wishing now at 70 i never sold mine to vendor after i out leveled it. i need to go get me another one.<div></div>
