<DIV>Hello fellow bruisers!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I am new to the bruiser class but a veteran player.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I have just unlocked the achievement system and earned a couple points with my new bruiser and was curious which line is the best to go for a DPS mainly bruiser. I will be doing some tanking here and there but will be filling mainly a DPS role on guild events and groups. When leveling I will be mostly soloing or grouping with a berserker and fury when I catch up to them in levels.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I was thinking starting with the STR line 4-4-8 to get the 96% double attack as I figured it would be good DPS while leveling up, and probably compareable to imbued crafted gear? (not sure on this one, need feedback <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> )</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Please let me know what everyone feels would be the best route for leveling up. I can always respec later when I reach higher level and get better items 50+.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks ahead of time!</DIV>

I'd suggest going for melee crits first. You'll also get a nice turn-around skill so when you're solo'ing you can spin them to get off your back positional attack.I keep seeing the whole barehand thing debated. I tried it for awhile and didn't notice an improvement and decided I preferred weapons anyways. However I tried it at 70, so it might be completely different and way more beneficial at lower levels. However, I still suggest you go for melee crits first before anything else.<div></div>

<DIV>I would like to hear some opinions on this also. I have a 24Bruiser with 18AA already so he's a blast to play. I went STR 4-5-8 with the 96% double attack. I had heard this is the best route to take until you get some nice fabled weapons in T7, or maybe even a set of the Ancient Velium Claws. So far I'm loving it, I'm soloing 20-22^^^'s in Stormhold.</DIV><p>Message Edited by ThadeusOfShibboleth on <span class=date_text>12-13-2006</span> <span class=time_text>09:26 AM</span>

<DIV>Thanks for the opinions so far...still going to sit on my now 4 AA points until I receive a little more feedback but glad to hear the STR line is working out for you. The melee crits are always welcomed though also <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

I'm level 69 and I still can't make up my mind. At first, I was spec'ing my AAs based on trying not to waste any AA's on one line that would keep me from using another line. In other words, if I went STR, I wouldn't also go WIS because I couldn't be barehanded and use a staff at the same time.I have since realized that it is very easy to have a hotbar of weapons where I can swap them out while a combat art is going off and not lose any time. Now I'm trying to figure out what AA combo is the best without limiting myself to specific weapon types. I'm currently thinking that, given the new importance on debuffing your enemy, the STR line at 4-8 (for the crushing debuff) and the WIS line at 4-4-8 (for AE aggro control) with a crushing staff would be pretty interesting. That way, you can unequip your staff, cast your crushing debuff, equip your staff, and whack the begeezus out of the baddie. What I need is about 20 free respecs so I can try out all my ideas. /sigh At least in another level I'll be getting AAs instead of experience so I can fill out more lines.Thoral, 69 Bruiser, Mistmoore<div></div>
