<DIV>Just about to start a Bruiser as part of a dedicated 5 players group (Fury, Bruiser, Brigand, Defiler and Coercer) however, I have no experience with tanking or the class.</DIV> <DIV>Q1. Do I use weapons?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Q2. If so then what is best? Fist weapons, dual-weild blunt or 2-handed?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Q3. Will I be able(skill permitting) to hold aggro in this group or will the healers be busy:-p?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Q4. Does armour type affect my combat ability(EQ1 monks suffered if they carried too much etc)?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Q5. We are all KoS accounts so will quickly be into AA exp, what is a good line to follow as the MT?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>We are all friends with other toons so will not be rampaging these ones to 70, this is just a few hours a week group. I would appreciate any other tips you have, thanks in advance.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

(They look cool too)</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#ffff00></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#ffff00>I'm switching to Rare leather fist wraps now though since I've gone down the INT AA tree to get my Melee crits up. In the INT tree there's a cool ability that allows me to spin a mob to face away from me and stuns him in place for a few seconds. This will allow me to use Sucker Punch for some nice DPS (Has to be used from a flanking or behind position so that AA will compliment it well.) and it saves the healers some mana.</FONT></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Q2. If so then what is best? Fist weapons, dual-weild blunt or 2-handed?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#ffff00>As soon as you find yourself fighting slightly higher level mobs and see yourself eating a lot of Riposte damage you'll be well suited to find a nice 2 hand staff to cut down on riposte spike damage. Other than that I like batons and fists.</FONT></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Q3. Will I be able(skill permitting) to hold aggro in this group or will the healers be busy:-p?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#ffff00>You will have Master 2 choices for DPS increasing abilities, or Taun increasing abilities. If you go with the Taunt increasing abilities you should be fine. (I went DPS, and I can still hold aggro pretty well in a group.)</FONT></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Q4. Does armour type affect my combat ability(EQ1 monks suffered if they carried too much etc)?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#ffff00>No penalty for being heavy! I remember playing my lowbie Monk in EQ1 and having to keep myself at 14 pounds or less. It sucked! Just wear the best leather you can get your hands on. In fact, with the recent changes to avoidance and how it became class based rather than armor based, there's no reason at all to wear cloth.</FONT></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Q5.
