The problem is heroics vs epics. Heroics, having high avoidance will actually do something for you. Getting ~70% avoidance on a plate tank, sacrificing a couple thousand mitigation, becomes worth it because you'll actually avoid enough for the 10% or so loss of mitigaiton to not matter.

However, against epics, your avoidance is basically Nil. I have yet to hear about anyone doing significantly better while naked or in cloth against epics. Especially without a shield. Basically against epics, you are looking at your uncontested avoidance + as much mitigation as you can get. Since Block and our Deflection is about all the avoidance we'll have, getting stacked in mitigation is about all you can do.

The major issue that I've seen though is that after a certain point of being debuffed, the negative flips to a positive. So a naked tank that's debuffed by those mobs that have like 10k mit debuffs, will end up flipping you over to positive numbers again. This is definately a bug.

It's the same as the issue with run speeds... being overburdened by like 80% and getting hit with a 50% slow will end up making you run at +130%! It's like you get a speed BOOST when hit with SLOW... really dumb.

Change from plate to cloth will boost the avoidance up nicely cuz plate has innate penalty to avoidance as supposed to be. You can't dodge or move that fast in plate compared to cloth.

yeah, made little difference for me. dont remember the numbers, but the penalty for leather is small compared to plate. we also can't get any avoidance in the block area since we can't equip shields. still getting the living snot kicked out of me.

at this point, if i didn't have feign, i would have quit. it really is the only thing saving me from going naked all the time and outright frustration.

this game is like the opposite of SWG. lots of content, but i can't get to it successfully because i am either lying on the ground face down feigned, or back at the zone-in, rebuffing.

on a side note, got one shotted like 5 times by the clockwork menace. so much for the survivability ratio... i got no grit. : (
