It only increases actual armor, not any other pluses from gear.I think Gungo said he gained something like an extra ~150 mitigation (maybe less?). Overall net gain of about 1% extra mitigation. That would be why you didn't notice much difference.

Has anyone verified the change?
nobody left in my guild to verify further beta testing changes...few brawler class even deleted before cancel. shame.
Message Edited by Astery on 11-23-2006 07:06 AM

it really did add 5% more mitigation for me while in defensive stance. or very close to it. as for trying to kill green/blue named... a lot of the named are just not doable. they sure did nerf us. it wouldnt be so bad if the kos mobs hadnt gotten the 50% more hp change with eof.

increases a little bit the mitigation, changes anything. Because i wear leather anyway and every hit hurts if i can't avoid it....i don't see particular benefits on this thing...

i can confirm the 5% mit change. i went from around 33-34% to 38-39%. granted this doesnt help in the least when mobs are still hitting for max damage and we can hardly avoid them. that leaves us with an uncontested 7% avoidance and me with about 38% mit to defend against mobs swinging for max damage.i went through nest last night and after 4 tries on the first named i was able to kill it with a bunch of lucky avoids. i cannot even kill the first named in nest without pure luck. 2nd guy i only got down about 35% before dying. im in all legendary gear with fairly decent jewelry and str/sta/int AA line. im also mostly mastered with the rest being ad3.they really make it so you need to be fully fabled out with all masters and 100 AA to be able to do anything with new expansion. i think ours knockbacks having no effects against casting and overall interrupting because of focus changes doesnt help much either.all in all i continue to play my bruiser. im disappointed that i cant farm green/blue named anymore or farm period for that matter. but i can still do other things and i havent noticed a difference in pvp except with those [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] god abilities 1shotting people.

The reason brawler like me and thail see a 1% change and other see a 3-4% change is the quality of gear and diminishing returns. Since the change to mitigation in def stance ONLY includes base mitgiation w/o the +c/s/p. Brawlers who were self buffed ~4k+ mitigation only saw a 1% increase and brawlers who were around 3k+ saw a 4% increase. The change is menial especailyl in groups w group mitigation buffs, because really thats where i am having the most difficulties in tanking higher lvl heroic content to a degree, but especially ANYTHING epic. I am built for tanking and on raids i use to pick up any adds and had no difficulty doign that. Now rogues do a better job on tanking epics then i do.
Message Edited by Gungo on 11-23-2006 05:59 PM

Not happy. Well geared Scouts can tank on a par with Brawlers now. Having said that I think all tanking is [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn]ed at the moment - our Guardian MT is having a lot more trouble post-patch.

SoE Devs should have 'IF IT AIN'T BROKE DON'T FIX IT' tattooed on the inside of their eyelids.
