<DIV>I'm starting a troll bruiser alt specifically for soloing... I'd be surprised if I ever group or at the most duo every now and then. Any suggestions on best AA setups for soloing? I'm assuming that it will be all about dps. Look forward to your replies.</DIV>

<DIV>I personally went down the Int / Wis lines ... I was on the STR AA line.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I am now 4 4 2 0 in the crane line</DIV> <DIV>and I am 4 4 8 0 in the fist line.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The criticals are amazing and I do fine wether I am soloing of grouping.  I can solo as well if not better then I could before.</DIV> <DIV>Now I didnt parse out the damage, but there have been some huge hits that I have seen 700-800 dmg in 1 swing when the critical goes off</DIV> <DIV>on my 2 hander.  I really like the ability of hitting multiple enemies at once.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<P>This question comes up alot and I recently was searching the answer myself and I can tell you this, do what is fun for you.</P> <P>I took the standard advice of building up AAs down a different line until I hit 20 or so and move them into strength.  Worked fine but I was enjoying my Bruiser LESS without weapons, just didnt feel right.  I seemed to be doing more damage with the nearly 100% double attack and solo'd just fine but honestly, I love weapons.  I especially loved the Bruiser concept of a big Barbarian wielding a giant hammer or Flail.  Personally, my concept of the bruiser is more that of a traditional Berserker type character.  Light armor, big weapon wielded by a big hulking Barbarian, Ogre, Troll etc..., rather then the evil brethren to the barefisted or dual wielding monk, but that is just a personal opinion</P> <P>All that said I respec'd again entirely down the INT line where I now Sit 4 4 8 4 and will finish the line at 4488 and then head down the Wis and Sta lines getting the most bang for the buck where I can. </P> <P>Is the INT line more or less effective than the STR line?  Not really sure but I do enjoy my toon more, much more as a matter of fact.  With a fabled 2hander at level 41 I see some pretty large numbers, crit or no crit.  </P> <P>One other thing to consider, if you are a solo bruiser like myself you will spend much of your time cycling through CAs and not a ton of standard Melee.  Using a big 2 hander with the INT line has actually made me MORE effective, at least it feels that way.  I am not a parser, never will be, but cycling through the CAs leaves less time for melee swings, which makes the big 2hander numbers outweight the smaller double attack barefisted numbers.</P> <P>With the STR line Spams used to go CA dmg, CA dmg, CA dmg, 145, 145 CA dmg, CA Dmg, 155, 130 etc...</P> <P>Now it more along the lines of CA dmg, CA dmg, CA dmg 455, CA dmg, CA dmg, 567 etc....</P> <P>Now when I don't have any CA's up and the mob is not dead I usually Mez to buy a little time then start back up with the CA's.</P> <P>Nothing scientific about my answer, I know, but mold your toon how you envision it to be and the rest will take care of itself.  Building your character to be most effective and most powerful is important, but so is running around Norrath the way you see fit and in a fashion that is most enjoyable to you...</P> <P>Safe Travels!!</P>

I like 8 in crane sweep(wis), simply because I tank alot and it adds an ae knock down, another taunt. Then I went down the Bruiser damage line and got Drag, another taunt.. hard for us/me to hold agro some times when I'm tanking.<div></div>
