View Full Version : Is Callous Stomp broken?

Hey there Bruisers.  Since EOF came out I started to notice that the higher damage portion of Callous Stomp wasn't triggering properly.  I did some testing and heres what I came up with.Using Steel Fist to Callous Stomp, the higher damage portion triggered only 10/50 times.  Using Uppercut to Callous Stomp the higher damage portion triggered only 18/50 times.  24/100 times the damage was inbetween both damage portions and so I can't for sure say that it failed.  However, that means that at least 48% of the time (48/100) this skill is failing to trigger properly.  I only recorded data after the first skill hit, and showeded a knockdown effect on the mob.  The data was recorded off multiple types of mobs (grey to yellow, solo to heroic) in EOF.  Has anyone else noticed this problem?  Did I miss an update about mobs resistability to knockdown?  I only started noticing this after I put new AA points into increasing the damage on Callous Stomp, so perhaps it is related.  Please, take notice and let me know what you come up with.  If this it broken I want to /bug report it ASAP as this is one of our higher damage abilities.  Thanks<div></div>

I have not yet at this time seen Stomp Fail to hit on the high side if the MOB is down on the ground<div></div>

i havent been paying attention since it has always worked. ill try and watch it today and make sure it is working as intended. there is also an overlapping in the ability itself and it can hit in the very low end of the 2nd part of the skill and thus seem like the 1st part. its a pain having such large damage ranges on our CA's.<div></div>

<P>If the stun on Steel Fist was resisted, the second kick in Stomp won't land, so be sure to keep your eye out for that in case that's what's happening.</P> <P> </P>

Yes, the 100 dmg within the range of both was the 24/100 times that I was talking about.  And I always watched to make sure the first ability hit.  Today when playing I made sure to hit CS while the mob was on the ground and it seems to work more often.  I guess I just thought that "recently affected by a knockdown effect" gave us a few seconds rather than while the mbo was on the ground.  Kinda sucks if this is how it is really supposed to work.  Oh well, just keep an eye on this combo.  Thanks for the feedback.<div></div>

I never see the spell do both dmg's....or is that not how the spell is supposed to work.  If they are knocked down is it only going to be doing the top end dmg?  If so they need to change the description.  If not then I have yet to see it do both dmg's.  I hit steel fist and then do callous stomp right after it.  I checked my combat logs and steel fist is landing and callous stomp is only hitting once.

The first dmg tier in the CA is for a MOB that is standing, the second is for a MOB on the ground.<div></div>

When I use the stomp line right after a kd like the fierce punch or haymaker, and they both hit, the stomp always does the extra dmg like it's supposed to. Haven't had it fail yet.
