Ok this question may have already been asked, but can anyone explain to me which is really better Haste or dps mod. Also does haste just make a toon attack faster, while dps mod makes a toon hit harder? Plz reply when possible. Thanks

Haste makes u hit faster, like 100% haste measn u hit 2 x as fast so a 4 sec weapon now hits every 2 secs. It will also effectively mean any procs u have on you from spells or items will hit more often as procs are normalised for the non hasted weapon value.

DPS mod make u hit harder, so 100% dps mod measn u hit 2 times as hard each hit.

Both DPS and Haste only affect auto attack and not CAs

DPS is slightly better than haste of an equal value because with high haste figures u can start missing auto attacks due to casting CAs.

Message Edited by Illustrious on 11-14-2006 03:22 PM

Couldn't have put it better myself, except to reiterate, the difference is small. I tried switching a 50% haste set up with a 50% DPS set up, and saw no difference. Fights took as long, either way.
