<DIV>I am a brand new player to EQ2. I tried the brawler class and liked it quite a bit. I got my monk to level 20 but I believe that a bruiser would fit my playstyle a bit better. With a monk I felt like all I was doing was smashing the CAs. With bruiser CAs being stronger and on a longer cooldown I think there is a greater possibility of working out sequences. I also understand that bruisers do a bit more dps and have a bit more mitigation at A VERY MINOR loss of avoidance.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Monks have haste. Though I could not understand how they brought that haste to 100%. Do bruisers have haste? Or is it just a dps buff?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Do you have any advice on a high dps fighter class? What should I expect from my bruiser? (I've read some monks vs. bruiser comparisons but they left me wanting more. Could you explain to me why bruiser over a monk?) Thank you in advance.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

Heya, now if you wish to play a bruiser you must keep such things in mind.1.) We have very strong single target agro, but weak multi encounter aggro. A good combination with a brawler would be an enchanter type to lock down extra mobs.2.) As of now, mitigation tanking and avoidance tanking are a little uneven. The tradeoff of being able to dodge hits is that you wear only leather, and the damage can spike sometimes. This can be helped with our self mitigation buff that slowly drains our health, and my self stun mitigation buff. Brawlers usually don't go too well with Inquisitor or Templar, but go pretty well with Mystic, and Defiler; as well as Warden and Fury.3.) Bruisers as a whole do some very nice damage for a fighter class. This gets even better with our Knockout Combination that allows us to do massive damage for each combat art that we use. Very useful for soloin.4.) Bruisers are very nice soloers, if geared and played right you should not have much trouble against blue ^^^. The self heal that we get helps alot too.5.) No we dont have any form of haste that monks have. But I like our offensive stance that comes with the chance to proc fire damage. We group buff DPS also. IMO, I believe that Bruisers have more potential than Monks because they can put out more if put in a group that will help you cap your haste. Now this is before tomorrow's changes with EOF. I got into beta, but never bothered to try it much, they are supposed to be making avoidance tanking better and brawlers an actual choice as a viable tank for raids.<div></div>

<P>I quote you...</P> <P>But we must add one more thing:</P> <P>The monk is more versatile than the bruiser, because he upgrades also wisdom and so he increases his resistances....in short, is more defensive than offensive, but still have his good dps</P> <P> </P> <P> </P> <P>PS: How a bruiser take more avoiadance? </P> <P>upgrade AGI, the WIS or the resistances?</P>
