Hello, I'm a Monk 67 and I'm soon starting to join t7 raids with guild, since the guild allready got 4 high Monks and no high lvl bruiser I have been thinking about changing my Monk in to a bruiser, but not sure how the bruiser class works. So what I was wondering about is this;- Whats the biggest difference between a monk and a bruiser, and, how would a bruiser be to solo tough stuff ( have heard about a few Monks that have solo'ed HoF) K thx bb

Monks solo HoF? now that i would like to see.

I think you heard wrong i cant see how any brawler could ever come even close to solo HoF, the first few blue mobs maybe but certainly no further. If im wrong someone plse tell what the hell gear/AA lines they got because i know i could never solo it myself thats for sure!!

Im a monk but i would have to agree that bruisers make better solo players mainly due to higher burst dps and a mezz to wait on recharge of high hitting CAs.

Message Edited by Illustrious on 10-03-2006 02:59 PM

I was happy with myself for soloing the level 70^ ^ ^ that guard some of the bird baths in poa for the glowies for star to unlock. I kept trying to fd avoid them and it didnt work so I engaged and took it down pretty easy.....didnt really seem like some of the level 67-69's i have tried, they were much harder.

Marasmus of Mistmoore

Hail *NOR/

Soloing all of HoF i doubt. Maybe a bruiser could solo the first named. Would be a pain though and take a long time. Would have to mezz/fear named burn 1 add then flop. rinse and repeat. Then pull the named solo debuff alot and burn hard. Be good to see peopel try.

I think it might have been possible for a bruiser to solo HoF awhile back when we could keep mob's mezzed and feared pretty much ALL the time, but now theres no way in hell a bruiser or any brawler coudl do it.

I think the OP may be a little confused. Brawlers can SOLO their way THROUGH Halls of Fate.... like train to an area to pick up a book for a quest.... but cannot kill all the named mobs in the zone no way.

Maybe if you were a coercer and pitted the named against each other to beat em down...but still!!

I still dont see either brawler giving Septimus the smackdown.

I was in there for 2 hours. I skipped from named to named and tried offensives stance, split, defensive stance, vig spirtit. mezzing, fearing. Nope nut huh nu gonna happen.I'll pay said Swashy from EC 200p if he can clear the 1st and 2nd named in the zone by himself. Not talking about clearing the whole area then dropping from grp to kite . I mean actually soloing the zone. Yep, if he can do that before having to repair and I am there watching. He is 200p richer.

Message Edited by Thail on 10-05-2006 06:11 PM

I have heard Coercers can do pretty well in there solo. But am doubtful they would be able to finish zone b4 they are nakid due to pets turning aggro and pretty much one shoting them.

Brawlers cannot solo HoF. That assertion; irrespective of equipment, is manifestly absurd. I doubt you could even successfully floptrain there, due in some part to Debilitate (as pointed out).

But if anyone would like to make the video that proves me wrong feel free, I'd be prepared to set aside the 7 hours to watch it

The wager was on the solo_HoF part of the post :smileywink:. But nonetheless I would be interested seeing a video of someone floptraining to the Doomlord. Tried it myself and it was extraordinarily difficult as compared to other zones. I suppose if you were very patient.....

I feigned my way through the whole of HoF (without killing anything), and that was before the nerf to debilitate. You certainly can do it, especially now. And my gear is so much better now.
