Who's done it? What's your gear? What's the minimum gear/stats you'd advise and what's your tips for beating this with a Bruiser?

buff your self.... hit buttons.... taunt sometimes.... hit more buttons... taunt some more!

Thanks for the tips.

not much dragorn can tell you. Minimum gear is situational. Just get high slash/poisen(poisen easy) resists. I like to put stone deaf up for initial pull and aoe absorb. Then kill Momo in 3.5 minutes. I use the cuiarass of high preistess. i was sitting at 84% avoid and 80% slash.
Message Edited by Gungo on 09-26-2006 04:57 AM

Sorry but there isnt a whole lot of rocket science involed when tanking. The mob does crushing dmg put on armor with crush resist. put on your + to defelction parry and defence gear. Do as much damage as you possibly can and use taunts. Its pretty straight forward the nly real mob in the game that takes some thinkin is the princes encounter...

Thats true.

I wouldn't mind a little variety in loot. That way those 3 sets of gear will come to more use. I know the devs stated they wanted peopel to collect set of gear for resists, but the way caps work its really just put on your best set of gear and thats it. Occasionally i switich out 2-3 pieces to max resist.

I asked this question because I wanted to know if any Bruisers tank this mob successfully. Without giving to much away use the guard or bruiser to tank MO and use the zerker to tank/MA the adds. Zerkers have better aoe agro control out of the 3 imho. There is at least 2 different ways to kill MO. Both work depending on your raid setup/DPS. 1 of them works well with a bruiser tank the other might be safer w a guard.

I've pulled aggro on this mob and had no problems, but never tanked full through. I don't believe he hits hard enough to actually pose a threat to a tanking bruiser though. As a bruiser I typically grab adds who aggro onto healers, rather than tank the MO himself though.

If you WANT to tank MO I think your biggest problem might be aggro, as this is a complete burn fight and people are going to be unloading hardcore.... so be ready to rescue and keep aggro.

I think tanking MO would be easy but like stated before its a burn fight. I think to make it easier another tank should tank the swarm of adds. Even a zerker has to be on the ball to grab adds as they pop.

Yes it's a burnfight. The fight is normally not longer then 2 minutes, but holding agro with a bruiser is no problem at all. I Inc with Rescue, singletaunt, grptaunt, k.o.-kombination, all dmg styles. After that you can relax, throw a taunt sometimes and watch MO going down

I'd be interested to know what sort of MIT, avoidance and resists you lot have. I suspect it's a lot better than we Venekorites can muster atm.
Well. In the mt-group and with the 3 minutes Mit buff i reach 6000 Mitigation -> 80% and an avoidance of 82% (i know, 80% is cap ). poison resists 80%.
