Normally i play a nice 70 swashie on a PvE server. Some of my guildies have started Alts on Vox (PvP) - they have picked assassin x2, brigand, fury and few others.....but no tanks.....i've never played a "pure tank", like melee (I play a swashie!!) - so it seems the obvious choice would be a zerker or bruiser. Any thoughts. Also my main doubles ups as 70 jeweler. For my alt would alchemist be the way to go - potions, poisons and debuffs for allies and spell upgrades?? THANKS

I think any of the tanks would suit you fine, although your group is setting up to be more dps oriented so a bruiser would be a fine choice. If you happen to get a defieler then its perfect Bruisers do very well in pvp, especially in groups. If not going with a bruiser I would personally go with a shadow knight if you have a brig in your group. Sounds like a fun setup you guys have going there, should be a blast.

As far as alchemy goes, your scouts will love you also for the poisens you can make then so yeah, alchemy would be good.

If you guys are always going to be pvping in a group I would say go Guardian over anything else. As a bruiser we only have 1 AE taunt and 1 single taunt, ae taunt is a long recast single is 6second. When i'm doing group PVP it's very difficult for me to keep peopel off of the healers whereas I notice when I fight a guardian it's nearly impossible to hit anyone but the guardian. That group has plenty of dps so Guard would definatly be the best choice imo.
