<DIV><FONT color=#cc00ff>Guys I have a few questions concerning your aggro.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#cc00ff></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#cc00ff>I'm a raider and my role in raids tends to be DPS, which admittedly I can do pretty well. But, up until recently I've been hauling aggro off our MT with no problem at all.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#cc00ff></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#cc00ff>I'm well geared and have practically all masters, but I seem to be ripping aggro far too easy. MT has the usual aggro buffers etc so it's definately not a problem at that end.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#cc00ff></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#cc00ff>I have sometimes entered fights with rumble on just because it's on my spam macro to setup again after deaths but thats rare.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#cc00ff></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#cc00ff>Usually I open up with the fast timer stuff like pumel, dropkick etc and then the 100 hand punch and savage bruising. This works great as I make the most of my timers but I'm hauling aggro. I don't leave any combat art timer down and am generally not slacking at all.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#cc00ff></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#cc00ff>The main thing that's wierd is that I can haul aggro off a crit hit on Kidney punch..... anyone else noticed this?? I've had barely any problems upto now but now it's almost impossible not to rip aggro just using auto attack and the crap stuff like dropkick.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#cc00ff></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#cc00ff>I'm thinking there is a problem with rumble still proccing or something even though it's disabled. Anyone have any tips on generating less or lowering aggro.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#cc00ff></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#cc00ff>All comments from raiders appreciated <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#cc00ff></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#cc00ff></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><IMG src="http://img231.imageshack.us/img231/8338/riskersig6eh8zq.jpg"><A href="http://img231.imageshack.us/img231/8338/riskersig6eh8zq.jpg" target=_blank></A></DIV>

I'm only level 48 but I know that as of late I too have been getting aggro way too easily. Prior I would be able to get aggro if I was in offensive stance and went all out but now I can go a bit light on the dps and be in fire stance and still rip aggro off the tank no problem. I've been in groups with DPS near 70 and mentored down and they weren't pulling aggro, but I was. I'm not sure what's going on. If I'm actually doing that much DPS to rip aggro that easily, I suppose I shouldn't complain too much. Heheh.<div></div>

<DIV>From my experience with T7 raiding it could be a group set up thing. In raids my guild puts a coercer in my group and he has an ability that reduces my aggro a lot over time (dont remember the exact numbers)</DIV> <DIV>when he tells me he has done that I unlaod will everything I have. to date I have not been able to haul aggro off our MT (a guardian or zerker depending on the encounter)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Hope it helps a little </DIV>

Basically, he targets you, you are targetting a mob (or implied targetting a mob through someone) and reduces threat by a fixed amount.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>LU 24 changed Coercer's single target "procs damage when hit with a spell" ability to also include a Hate reduction of 23%. <U>For non-fighters.</U> Enchanters have an AA that can reduce hate by something like 7% on everyone in the group... <U>if they aren't a fighter</U>.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>There's very few "reduces hate by a %" abilities that work on fighters (is there one?), cuz they tend to be tanking.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>One thing I've noticed, we are good at holding aggro when low on power (or when needing to conserve power) and it's a single target encounter.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I was in the instance in Forsaken City (Naziz of the Nayad or something?) and there's some Named in there that require some rather long fights. They heal themselves like 30k every minute and a half, so you have to be doing some pretty huge constant damage in that time period to get them down.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Well, when the tank (SK) was in conserve mode, I'd pull aggro just autoattacking + Offensive stance and using meteor fist. I was trying to pull intercede + self heal on him to help the healers mana, but I'd often grab aggro and get close to death and have to FD for like 10s (long time in those fights).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>We switched up, and I tanked using my taunt proc and the occasional single target taunt and held aggro fine. Nearly beat the thing, but once we got low on power the thing would heal faster than we could damage. I suggest bringing someone that can buff autoattack a LOT and/or give lots of power regen (we didn't have an enchanter or bard).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I also made a pretty good tank for that fight, since I tossed up stone deaf whenever i had the chance and saved quite a bit of damage. On top of that, I had ~30% more avoidance than the SK, but when buffed with the 3 minute mitigation buff I was only 20% behind in mitigation. A few times, I hit rescue and tossed up hardened skin and had 70% mitigation too, lol. Nice when low on health and waiting for a heal or self heal...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'm seriously considering respec'ing for the final Int ability if I'm going to be tanking a lot.</DIV>

<P>I just realized what could have been making a huge difference...</P> <P>Autoattack was not cycling properly in between combat arts after the patch. Basically, if you did a combat art, it reset the auto attack skill's timer on it's delay. Which meant if you were chaining arts, you lost all autoattack until you were done.</P> <P>For scouts, this was showing a 20-30% decrease in DPS.</P> <P> </P> <P>So if the tank is using his taunts a lot and hitting combat arts (cuz he has power regen), and you were using CAs a little more sparingly (gaps in between to not pull aggro from spamming), then your autoattacks might have been adding a bit more damage and the tank wasn't.</P> <P>Thankfully, this was changed today, so things might be back to normal.</P>

<P>Always leave rumble off. </P> <P>Put a dirge and coercer in the MT group.</P> <P>Have a MT that knows what he is doing.</P> <P>Hold back a little at first. My MT generally lets me know when I go balls to the wall, and then I unleash hell.</P> <P>You can generally hit 1k+ DPS pretty safely this way.</P>

Oh, and if you can get a spare Gaurdian in your group for the 33% deagro, ignore everything I said before and go crazy!

<P>Yes, for a while there, the delay on your weapon was being reset when you used a CA, so it would never go off in between chained CAs.</P> <P>So a tank spamming Taunts and ability to build up aggro would lose out on his autoattack. Since a lot of AA's and fabled weapons out there make autoattack quite a lot of damage, this was a major loss in DPS, which translates into a major loss in aggro control.</P> <P> </P> <P>This has since been fixed. Personally, I've not had any trouble with my Bruiser on the raids I've been on recently. Some pickup groups, but that's cuz those tanks sucked, lol!</P>
