wasnt sure where to post this but...this seems good. anyone use the nostromo speedpad n52?? if so, was lookin for some feedback on profiles, macros, etc... those who own one know what im asking. also if u have any profiles to download that'd be great too. thx (bruiser specific profiles would be best of course lol)

Not exactly sure what you could "pre-program" for this kind of game. Macro unequip/equip/useability for some AA's? Maybe some stun + spin around behind creature + backstab combos? That's about all I can think of....

The game already has macros in it, albeit somewhat limited without any kind of pausing. Not that it would help bruisers much.

Really, macros are more for crafting easier than bruisering. For the most part... entirely possible there might be something I'm missing.

A real bruiser doesnt need macros.Just a whiskey, a body to punch, and maybe a sandwhich

n52 is good stuff...been using an n50 or n52 for years. Haven't put much effort to creating a profile of macros though...I did in DAoC. You could macro basically anything you can dream up, if you put enough effort into it.

Well, i had one and it wasn't the best. The Combat Arts if i proggramed it to hit Ctrl+1 it just hit regular 1, and ended up having to say /useabililty (insert ability Here) but it had to type in the ability which took like 0.7 seconds, so your cast time was longer. I use a mouse now and it is just fine.

But hey, im only level 20, so who knows!

Medawen

Bruisahhh.. ruuuun foo runnnn

Personally, I've become so dependant on my Speedpad, that I'm not sure how I'd play comfortably without it. I played around a bit with recording macros, but never really came up with anything too useful that way. I also found it very annoying to actualy record combos for things like shift+#. For me its most useful in letting me have fast access to every CA I have, for clarity I mostly look at this from a rogue's perspective.

I layout the pad so that me movement keys fall on the natural center of the pad. The other number keys are layed out aroung the movement, 1-4 on the top row, then 5&6 with 7-10 across the bottom. The - & = keys ket assigned to back and forth on the wheel, but I fill those keys with arts that I use alot, but not usually in combat(sneak for my swash). With this setting in mind, the D-pad is set to fill other needs. The forward and back directions are set to be the ctrl and shift keys. This way I can get 30 hot keys out of the pad very easily. Need a ctrl+4, just hold the back d-pad with your thumb and hit 4. The other two directions I set to auto-attack and tab for easy targeting. Finally I use the thumb button for jumping, though that is mostly because I need to bounce behind mobs alot. That litle orange button I don't generally use much. I keep it set to color shift right now and have a shift with the numbers set to do things like map and inventory, though I never really use it anymore. Personally I find that last button not as reaponsive as the others, it just feels slower. I hope that helps at all.
