I am very new to the bruiser class, I have created an Iskar bruiser and so far I am having a blast. I am only in the very early levels (<img src="/smilies/b2eb59423fbf5fa39342041237025880.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> and so far I can solo VERY well. Does this trend continue? I am a solo only player, and I need a class that can support that; however I really do not want to play a caster class. Also, if you have any suggestions for a new player feel free to let me know. <div></div>

Thank you. I have read the guides at the top of the discussion postings. Do you have any suggested website that show the bruiser abilites in detail? All the ones I find are out-of-date. <div></div>

Not really there arent very many or good sites with bruiser info besides here and the monk forums.trial and error is rough but produces great results toowhat server are you on btw?<div></div>
to answer your question if we continue to sol good the answer is yes. Our solo ability however will be nerfed down in LU24 due to our stuns / mez being nerfed but I really dont see that hurting our... or at least my solo ability on alot of mobs.

Well let me give you an update. I am now level 10. I was having a real tough time soloing creatures my level. I received a quest weapon and they helped quite a bit. My question is this: Should I be as dependent upon the hand-to-hand weapons as I appear to be? Two creatures my level would still be a challenge for me. From what i hear this should be no problem...what am i doing wrong. My skills are only APP II but at 10 i wouldnt think that would case THAT much of an issue. All the leather is roughly up to my level, and my weapons are now so-so. <div></div>
<DIV>Theres a large difference between lvl 10 and say lvl 30. At lvl 10 you really dont have many combat arts that make a lvl 30 beable to solo well. Also at lvl 10 most classes are capable of soloing decent. I Havnt been a level 10 bruiser since the game was released but back then i used my bare fist untill about 20+ so as far as i know bare fists are probably your best bet unless you can get some rare crafted imbued weapons. Also lvl 1 - 20 go by pretty fast so i wouldnt worry to much about gear untill you get to 20 then start doing your armor quests which is pretty good armor for that lvl. I believe the quests start in south or north freeport. Like i said its been a good 2years since ive done them.</DIV>

Right now I have Tin Knuckles or something like that in both my weapons slots. 2 - 4 damage i think. Should I remove them and just go with bare hands? <div></div>
<DIV>IM gunna say use your bare fists. Tin is as low as you can go on the suck chart hehe.</DIV>

<DIV>at that low of a level, i would invest in the best weapons you can find. Armor does not appear to have as big an impact at the lower levels, where as your weapons appear to have a huge impact on your ability to solo. Weapons were my primary focus until my 30's. Also, if you can find an adept 1 for sale you can afford, noticable amount of damage increases will also move the fight along faster. As the other poster stated, I didn't really worry about gear either until I hit 20, then i got crafted non rare until I did the AQ's or a rare crafted leather. I believe with LU24 you might start seeing more and more rares up for sale so might drive the costs down. Also, with the ease on tradeskills, it might be worth investing a little time in one as a way to outfit, make your own spells, or at least a profit to buy the items you want being that you solo, the AQ's may be a little difficult without a group.</DIV>

There are some decent quest for weapons 10-20. You can get a quest from a guy near the nomad camp next to Wailing caves fora nice Nomad Walking Stick<div></div>

Ok. I may be dense but im not understand the whole weapon thing. Do bare fists have a certain damage value assocaited with them, and adding a weapon overrides that value? or do weapons simply add on to the basic damage value? <div></div>

when you equip a weapon, it has its own stats. Fists have their own stats. Completely seperate. If you equip a weapon, your fist stats mean nothing.

Fists = generic store bought 2 handed weapon, no stats, akward delay, upsets your parentsAny weapon= stats and all attributes of weapon listed..on the weapon, does not include bare fist damge, easily excites parents into thinking they might get grandkids<div></div>
