<DIV>As of the last LU I have noticed that the Bruiser ability Close Mind no longer prevents or makes you immune to "change target effects" in PVP. It is still on the list of effects, and had been working since the last few weeks. I have been hoping it would be fixed, but now wondering if it is a bug or an intentional hotfix. I am not sure of the PVE aspect of this skill, however it is definitely broken in PVP according to the description. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

"Grants the bruiser immunity to control based effects for a limited duration. This ability can be used while stifled or stunned, and has a recurrent power cost."It say nothing about taunts and detaunts. My guess is that is the way it is meant to work.<div></div>

I haven't noticed that bug. There are a few other bugs with taunt effects that I have noticed though. One is a bug that swashbucklers have done to me several times, where they lock my target onto nothing for 3 seconds. It's not just an evade, it actually prevents me from retargetting anything for 3 seconds. I think they must taunt to lock my target, then evade, to make me detarget. I've tried using F1, last target, clicking, nothing will allow me to retarget for that ~3 seconds. It always happens in the heat of battle obviously, and at that point I never have the presence of mind to check my debuffs to try and work out what causes it.It happened to me once in the arena fighting a brigand too, I think his AR must have procced on me just before he evaded.I'm curious if this trick works with feign death. AE taunt then feign would be a hysterically powerful thing to do in group PvP if it works the same way.<div></div>

They both have multiple detaunt abilities / items / aa's that can prevent you from targeting them. As far as the close mind, test it out, put it on and try attacking a person while another sits there taunting you,you will be taunted every time. <div></div>

Really? Those evade effects actually prevent you from retargetting for some time? It was my belief that all they did was make you lose your target, not prevent you from retargetting straight afterwards. Usually just pressing 'last target' will retarget someone after they have evaded, but in these circumstances I couldn't for several seconds.<div></div>

It appears that the ability to be immune to taunt while using this ability has been ninja removed.  It no longer says "immune to effects that prevent changing targets" on my ability now. It's probably good it was removed, it was over powered on pvp servers.  I have the spell AD3 so it lasts 26.3 secs.  I could own multiple casters and healers in that time while the tank was useless.  I think that taunt is over powered as it is now though.  Taunt lasts too long and if two people are taunt pouncing you, youll never win. <div></div>

Is that when you have PVP check enabled? It has been like this for quite awhile. It is still there for me... So hopefully it will either have the text changed, or the skill the way it should be.<div></div>
