Slashing weapon?

So I picked up a Ribcage Sycthe just because I know how cool the graphic looks in-game and figured it' be fun for some roll-playing <span>:smileyhappy:</span>Anyway, I have a 0 out of 242 in the slashing skill. My question is; will this make my CA's miss a lot or will this only effect my auto attack?Thanks, <div></div>

<DIV>There is a quest to get some chitin shredders in the bonemire that rewards you with 2 treasured slashing weapons, dual wield.  Just equip them (or any slashers) and go kill greys for a few hours and you shoudl be fine.   fast attacking is best for raising skill.  </DIV>

Is it unheard of for a bruiser to use a slashy? And with your advice in mind, does that mean CA's will be gimped by my poor slash skill?<div></div>

It means your going to miss like crazy with everything.  The weapon skill determines if you hit with auto attack and CA's as far as I know.Why they changed fist weapons from using just the crushing skill and doing different types of damage to using different skills is beyond me...<div></div>

<DIV>I guess it had to do with the programming.   I am glad that we have all different damage types available from many different sources now.  It used to be very very hard to find good slashing weapons.  I'm gratefull for the change. </DIV>
