How do you use the following lines?

Fists - Thundering/Jolting/Shocking/Storming - I usually hit it before an AE.. well, my ONLY AE. Figuring it will hit everyone. How do you use it? It's damage seems paltry, unless everyone in the AE gets hit. Do you ever use it against a single monster?

Instill Doubt/Instill Panic - I have YET to use this. How do you use it? Emergency escape (by then I am usually paniced myself, and would not remember to hit it?)

Thanks!

Redmouser

Yes Thundering Fists I usually charge up before pulling if solo.

If grouped I ae taunt, then ae damage, and fists will hit surrounding mobs - only 5 times though.

Instill Doubt I cast and then run around back of the mob and eye gouge it - or if I have 2-3 mobs I will mezz one - fear it when it wears off - and then by that time mezz it again.

Thanks for the mez tips, I have not used that in quite that way, but I was wondering about our Instill Fear/Doubt line - our fear CA, not the mez, which I only wish lasted a bit longer =). How do you use that one, the fear?

ShinmaRyche wrote:

As for Mez, it lets us kill mobs that would be more difficult, because you can mez during the fight to allow yourself a reset, time to self heal, and time to let your CAs recharge for the next barrage.
Wow, my bad. I blended this with another thread i was reading.. =

I use the Fear as a type of crowd control most of the time. Like for any unexpected adds. It usually gives me enough time to finish off the mob im working on. Additionally, you can use it for some extra time on a solo mob. Example, if your mez gets broken for some odd reason, or you just need some more time..

For me I've always used the Shocking Fists line prior to Crushing Fury - maybe not the most effective way to use it but I love how it does mad burst damage that way - especially in PvP. Unless I'm running into multiple mobs/Qeynosians, in which case I use it just before Savage Blows - for exactly the same reason.

IMHO Fear is better in PvP than PvE, as every second counts and the smallest advantage can put your opponent off. Also in PvP it can be used to send your opponent off the edge of a cliff etc.

In PvE I I use it from time to time in multi-mob encounters but rarely in heroic ^^^ - unless as an emergency measure.

Anyone else miss the broken procs? Prismatic + fists + CoB + Fae Pire + Sawage Blows + a bunch of mobs... Ahh the carnage! Anyway, don't let me set you off. Mezz is a lot more powerful then many think. It alows us to solo just about any mob that isn't stun immune, with proper mana regen of course.
