I tried searching, and I guess I suck at it because I couldn't find much info on using a bo staff vs dual wield. Found a few topics, but not much good information them. Can anyone share thier thoughts or opinions on this?

Duel wield tends to give better stats and more damage due to the fact you can piece together 2 certain ones. Bos have the potenial to increase AE dps and agro. Using either won't break on make your toon

It depends on your lvl - at lower lvls up to 50ish you can't beat 2 handed crushing, there are duel weapons and fist weapons - but the dps is not as good.

I don't have a problem taking agro from anyone. In fact I have to find ways not to take it.

I admit RGF pwnz compared to what else is in its tier. Curious thou on what you base your opinion on. If you have a fabled 2hander sure its gonna rock. But a fabled/legendary combo on dual wield vs a legendary 2hander most cases the dual wield is gonna win. When it comes down to it it depends on the specific weapons in question.

Have to agree with Kymii.

If you're comparing legendary 2 handers to legendary dual wield, I have to give it to dual wield for the benefit of the stats, and additional proc.

But in my oppinion post 65 there are some amazing 2 handers that are just hard to beat. I'm sure there are dual wield weapons in that level range that I haven't seen yet though. Until I find a dual wield setup that can outdamage the Staff of the Flapping Wing I'll stick with the 2 hander.

Maybe it's just my server, and maybe I can't search for beans but up until lvl 42 and when I got Anvulsor Claws - there was nothing that came close to any 2 Handed Crushing Weapon I could get.

Nothing.

Every bruiser that I came across I would inspect, and no one had comparable gear that I could see. And as I said I have to fight not to take agro from people I am grouped with.

Even at lvl 42 and Anvulsor Claws - it was a hard switch to make as the Claws do not have a strength boost to em where my 2 handed mace of doom did.

The only reason I am using Fist weapons right now (at lvl 50) is because I went up the int aa line until I got eagle spin - which is the most amazing ability when used with dirty punch.

I honestly can't see why I haven't seen hardly any Bruisers mention it on these boards - yes it's that good.

That's generally why buying two imbued ironwood batons costs more than one imbued ironwood Bo.

Of course once you throw fabled equipment into the mix it all gets a bit messed up.

And now we have AAs it gets more complex. The old rules have changed once again. For instance, right now I have a fabled T5 flail, which is 'better' than non-legendary T6 2H or DW - but 'worse' than using my bare hands (in terms of DPS) because I'm maxing out the STR line at the moment.

If you want to use DW then Baton Flurry would make a lot of sense. Similarly, if you want to fight with and get the most out of 2H then take the WIS line.

So to echo Phoz, at the moment trying to figure out which weapons are 'best' is entirely dependent on which AA line you're going to do.

Thanks for the input everyone! I picked up a bo staff just to try it out...damage difference was hard to notice, but I decided I like the "feel" of my fast DW batons better.
