situationally - we are great tanks. we get very minimal taunts, and no out of encounter taunts, or damage reactive taunts like the guards do. we are not really cut out for a majority of raid enounters as a main tank - that job is still securely in the hands of the guardians.

however, for exp groups, dungeon crawls, etc - with a good group makeup, we're exceptional!

and we can dish some serious dps out while tanking, even more if we are off tanking or sitting in a melee dps role.

Maelwyn covered it.

Only one thing to add, soloing. We are extremely potent soloers.

Oh, one more thing, dps group. Try arrange a complete dps group, no healers.
insanely funny
Very very often our self heal is enough for whatever damage basically ANY mob will have time to do on the short time it has to live.

heh, lately i've been having loads of fun with a party consisting of me tanking on my bruiser, 2 monks, and occasionally a necro.

i've never been in a group that is that fast moving from target to target in a dungeon, hitting nameds, and moving on...

no healers, and the only squishie in group can fd if needed. we have to watch out for him tho...cuz if he dies we gotta train back up, grab him at zone line, and then back down. its a pain. but it's really funny to laugh at him

good point with the necro as one of dps spots. if it goes to smithers and you have non feigning dpsers, he can always feign and rez..
