I do use mine occasionally. Its nice when your MT is going down on a raid, you can hit rescue, hit Heavy Scarring (2000+ mitigation at master 1) and stand there and take a couple hits while your MT gets to full health. Then you just cancel it and hit your FD. Can be a raid/group saving move in certain situations.

I've also used it on raids, where we are fighting 2 or 3 mobs. Peel one off and hold it while the rest of the raid burns down the other mobs. You won't lose agro while stunned because no one should be hitting your mob anyways.
Heavy Scarring + Strapping Spirit = wonderful 'oh crap' button. Instant ~80% mitigation<div></div>

At the rate that it drains me, and the health pool i have (since the health cost is % based and GOES UP as you get more total hp), the mitigation has a LOT of mitigating to do to break even... let alone give you net profit.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>It is nice to get 3 minute 80% mitigation tho... nice for emergencies.</DIV>

I'd like to see this CA not only increase physical mitigation, but magical resistances too.

<div></div>I use it also when FD fails and I'm training somewhere nasty... FD fails, pop up and hit Stone Deaf/Scarring... can usually outlast the bombardment in time for FD to repop, then click scarring off and hit FD for another chance at lifeedit: thats with master of it... app 1 won't do much<div></div><p>Message Edited by Vorham on <span class=date_text>04-24-2006</span> <span class=time_text>12:31 AM</span>
