Never really seen anything like this posted and was wondering what some of you do and what your group make up looks like to maximize your effectiveness in a raid. Of course all guilds vary. so everyone might not have the same makeup, but its good knowledge to share imho.

My favorite makeup for raids is a Monk (Haste Buff for me and my DPS buff for him), Inquisitor (love the haste buff they can do and also good healer to have on AOE fights), Zerker (awesome DMG added in procs and good strength buff that will generally cap me out), Pally (Takes my hate so I can go all out when need be.. plus its fun watching my agro get him killed mwuahahaha), Illusionist (mana regen, haste, and added procs FTW!!).

Anyways, with this group makeup I seem to be able to do more damage safer then with any other group makeup. Anyone do anything different or have any comments on how to change up this group to maximize it even better?

That looks good Krommus, except I would personally replace the Pally with a Troubador or a Fury.

Troubador: Hate reduction, even more haste/dps buffs and other buffs

Fury (if good MT group, with great agro enhancers on MT): Agitate, group melee proc, more healing and group cures

Tzing Tao

Enlightened Dark, Unrest

I have a problem with the guard. First if he was gonna deagro someone in that group it'd be the wizzy prolly. Second if you were gonna use a fighter for deagro i'd use a pally. With amends they have a group STR/WIS buff. STR for dps and WIS for resists. plus i think they have a group proc buff like the SKs but not 100% sure on that last part Deedbit : troub for hate reduction doesn't work. Thier group debuff is non-fighters i belive

Message Edited by PhozFate on 04-19-2006 08:58 AM

Hrm, best group for a bruiser. So you start with 30% DPS off your highest tier Group DPS buff, so toss in an Inquistor to get another 30%, then an Illusionist to get another 65% haste to go along with that DT wrist piece with 23% haste. So you're at 60% DPS, and 88% Haste. An Assassin for Apply Poison, and a Dirge for another 30% DPS + CoB + Tomb's Stillness and you've got yourself a nice group, and 90% DPS, 88% Haste. Plus 1 spot left for whatever class you want to fill that spot. Best to toss in another melee-class, maybe even a Monk and you'll be at that 100% Haste, as will the Assassin, and everybody will be near capping DPS as well.

I like pinsky's group a lot. I'm usually in a simular one, although we don't have a spare dirge for our group
