Splitiron ore

I remember an earlier quest I needed Splitiron ore - and got updates from the light colored stones in the Splitiron mine. Course these stones were not "active" for a day or so after I got my first 4 updates, then they became "active" and I finished that quest. Now I'm on the quest Fire Striker and it says I need fresh splitiron ore. I can only assume that its the same stuff, since I have no other way to know, but again - the stones are not "active". Any information available on this?

nope, the fresh stuff is actually from harvesting the darkore nodes <img src="/images/smilies/smile.gif" alt="Smile" /> I tried the same thing you did at first <img src="/images/smilies/smile.gif" alt="Smile" />
