I recently made a Barbarian Bruiser and was amazaed that my avoidance was at 59% while on the island. I finish up the quests there and quickly head to FP where to my suprise it drops to 19% and then the second I hit 10 it drop to 10%. Now, I didnt add any fancy armor or anything of that sort, and I did take the +4 to agility. Suddenly about twenty minutes later or so I hit lvl 11 and it jumped to 40%. I have no clue why its bouncing around like that, I even took all my coin and dropped it in the bank to lower my weight but still no change. Any ideas what may be causing this rapid and painfull change in my avoidance?

See your Defense/Deflection/Parry skills... on low levels, even 1 point in any skill can add a few percent of avoidance. On higher levels, it won't be so noticeable though. When you level up, the cap is increased and avoidance drops for current (new) level encounters, but then it gets back as you increase your skills.

Also, on noob island, the avoidance is screwed and always shows 99.2% I think.

Message Edited by Elephanton on 04-13-2006 07:10 AM
Your skills must not be going up at all. I had the exact opposite experience. Monks/Bruisers have an infinately easier time at lower levels in my experience, because of their high avoidance regardless of armor.
