Sigh. Not surprising considering the art departments past track record I suppose (thye must be the most woefully understaffed, underfunded, or flat out clueless mmo artstaff I have ever seen ), but depressing nonetheless. I will probably just do what most of the other 20 something secondary characters do and skip most of the aqs all together. My new wizard had such a terrible time getting hers done (couldnt solo it all, not a huge palyer base in the level range, quests in underused zones) that if she had not been in a guild of people willing to mentor down to assist her, she still wouldnt have them, and I LIKED that robe at least.

Not much point in puting that much work into something that wont be done till late twenties, will look exactly like what I have on now at 15, and just have to be replaced in the early thirties.../shrug

But on a plus note the new bruiser has been fun so far even with the decided lack of non-baton weapons on the broker for my level. Hope this changes in my 20s I really liked my boxing type attacks back on the isle.

Don't bother unless you like the brown thermal underwear. I was starting AQs with my shadowknight the other day, and ran into two bruisers talking to Vassi. I told them about the bruiser AQ armor and encouraged them to do other quests and not waste their time on such a pointless endeavor. Nothing like busting my butt for five or six levels to get all the AQs done just to find out the armor looks like total crap.

I really wanted a GI, just once, just one GI. At this rate I don't think I'll ever get one.

Would be much better if it could look like the guy standing about 5 feet from the bruiser trainer in WFP:with black gloves that match instead though, or no gloves.

The diffrence in our ways is bruisers are more brutal in our methods while monks are more passive. What really makes a Gi monk only? P.S. the Tux would also rock but its a fantasy game and it pry wouldn't fit.

Message Edited by PhozFate on 04-18-2006 07:14 AM

Play your bruiser the way you want i could really care less but you descibe a biker. A biker could be a bruiser but a bruiser isn't always a biker. I am highly trained in the martial arts. I accept pain as well as dish it out. I do damge with my fists and anything else i can grip in my hands just to watch someone else bleed. Sometimes for fun. Sometimes for pleasure. Sometimes its business. But always brutal. Attire is unimportant what is important is having mobility so i don't hinder quick reflexes. I will win in a fight. It doesn't matter how. Even if its tearing out your eye or biting a chunk of flesh from you.

I know T-Shirts don't exist in high fantasy, but a sleeveless shirt, some baggy pants, a pair of sandals and some gloves are all I need, personally. Just something to set us apart from the druids, aside from the same pair of pants with a different texture.
