Ive posted a few times here, but Im a relative noob to pvp in eq2. I have read a few posts and have a little experience in pvp but wondering whether people experience the same as me? - more interested in higher level (50+)

The classes that gives me the most problems seems to be conj and druids (both warden and fury)

It's always going to be very difficult to quantify PvP information, as, unlike PvE duelling, you can never know what level of disparity there is between your own equipment and that of your foe. Maybe that Guardian who mysteriously kicks your [Removed for Content] everyday has all Master 1 spells*, or maybe that Conjuror you destroy without having to switch off autoattack wouldn't know a master chest if he sat on one.

So - there are going to be highly-skilled/and or ridiculously over-equipped characters for each class, and therefore any generalisation is going to be misleading. However, if you don't mind me doing some misleading of my own, I'll agree that Conjurors and Furies are particularly difficult - as is any class which can nullify or counter our best PvP attributes of good melee avoidance and high burst damage.

However, I still think Bruisers are pretty useful mano a mano. What we really need is a thread about what mixtures of classes give you problems....:smileywink:

OTBBFIPCPS1987

* Still a fairly unlikely scenario, I know .

fury/wardens are unkillable solo if they are even close to your level if they have any skill at all.

lol Furys are kill able, at level 25ish I took out a group of 2, one I feared and the other I stuned and beat to death, then his friend came back and ran promplty, good thing, he would have killed me since I was nearly OOP. Around lvl 37 I was blessed with a solo encounter and defeated him as well, he was blue to me, but suposedly level does not matter much in PvP. These are my two solo exploits with Furies, rarely see them solo.

Not sure about Wardens, really have not run into many of them!

In short, our bread and butter: Int Casters

Decent fights: Other fighters and good scouts

Rough fights: healers

If you play correctly, with the right stratagy you can defeat any class, the bigest issue you will find is if your gear sucks and you have skills that are app1 - 4... adept 1 is a minimum if you want to PvP for all your major skills.

There's [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] all Adept 1s on Venekor half the time - though I snap up whatever I can find - and the prices on Masters/Adept IIIs are literally insane. I suppose I could devote hours each day to harvesting for rares but for me this kind of defeats the purpose of being on a frantic action-based PvP server...

Tell you what though, the day I get my CAs all Adept III there'll be much wailing and gnashing of teeth in Qeynos. :smileywink:

OTBBFIPCPS1987
