<div></div><div>I was curious what other of my "beatthesnotouttamobs" brethren would choose in my situation.</div><div> </div><div>Currently I'm in a good raiding guild T7, but our server is jammed with competition. I doubt I will see the contested for Deathtoll anytime soon, probably not until the next expansion and the bottleneck has moved on.</div><div> </div><div>In my personal situation I'm occasionally group tanking instances and on raids I'm in the DPS roll which many of us are in T7.</div><div> </div><div>I'm noticing alot more 2handers for T7 than DW.</div><div> </div><div>Horndrake Crescent (BM)</div><div>Twin Calamities (LoLV)</div><div>Halaghur's Pulvarizer (BM)</div><div>Strifewind Claws (Nest/crafted)</div><div> </div><div>vs</div><div> </div><div><div>Wyrmslayer (Crafted)</div></div><div>Strifewind Bow (Nest)</div><div>Grizzlefazzles (BM)</div><div>Flapping Staff (AoA)</div><div>Sledgehammer (LoLV)</div><div>Stormwind Battlemace (PoA)</div><div>Primal Velium Hammer (DT)</div><div> </div><div>Currently using:</div><div> </div><div>Godking Baton</div><div>Club from GoAA</div><div> </div><div>----------------------</div><div> </div><div>For Pure DPS I have gone Int Line 4/4/8 Crits</div><div> </div><div>Was heading into the Agi line for Momentus Clubbing. With the math at 8 points it's a nice DPS increase as long as your using a staff/club of some sort which is common enough.</div><div> </div><div>I've seen several monks/bruiser's I know going the Str line but I'm sketchy on the math for barefists. It doesn't look as good as some people are thinking at least not for bruisers who can't haste cap.</div><div> </div><div>Noticing some of you are looking at the Sta line...Mantis Bolt 3rd choice down doesn't look bad, but I'm weary of procs. Would rather have the guaranteed dmg from Momentus Clubbing than a proc.</div><div> </div><div>Anyone noticing a large DPS increase using the 2hander Line of Achievements? Obviously parsing dps with AoE attacks is one thing, but were primarily single target dps with no haste (unless were in the right group). Our CA dmg's are the big bonus, we hit harder than monks and they hit faster supposedly. As it stands though there are alot of nice 2handers which look to be fairly obtainable in the not so distant future.</div><div> </div><div>Just trying to maximize dps for these lines. Are the 2hander achievement lines looking better due to weapon choices?</div><div> </div><p>Message Edited by Jigokusensei on <span class="date_text">03-29-2006</span><span class="time_text">05:46 AM</span></p>

<div></div><p>From what I have seen there seems to be two top DPS routes people are going...some with a 3rd</p><p>1) Strength line! I haven't but from what I see barefisted with str allows monks to do A LOT of dps even compared to fabled T7 weopons. I do not have the numbers, but I would really look into it. </p><p>Will monks do more dps with this than bruisers....yes I feel they will, but atm I think they need to look at the bruiser dps changes since 2 upates ago when they nerfed our proc rates. There is a common misconception that bruisers get their dps from attack buffs. We get one attack buff....adept 3 tier 7 is 21 percent. That is it. The rest of our melee autoattack damage comes from our proc buffs. These were severely nerfed so we do do less dps. If you get double hits as a monk barefisted with close to 100 percent haste....it would make sense that you would out dps a bruiser with barefisted double attacks with 21 percent attack buff, no haste, and nerfed proc rates.</p><p>2) I currently have 448 in the int line for crits and i have 443...going toward 448 in stamina for the peirce proc mantis bolt. I like this model for dps. Would strength do more dps ...maybe but I really like using weopons. It is more fun for me. Barefisted has no interest to me and will only switch if I see hard dps comparisons posted showing that Strength blows away this choice for bruisers not monks</p><p>3) I have heard some people go the wisdom line....as a rule I don't see a huge appeal to having a area proc since you cant use it at all times. I would imagine it would up aoe dps a lot but I dont always fight aoe encounters so it seems more situational.</p><p> </p><p>Basically I plan to go 4488 4488 in stamina and int to get the most offensive defensive bang for my buck while using weopons</p><p> </p><p>Krutt Fuzzybottom</p><p>70 Bruiser</p><p>Club Fu</p><p>Blackburrow</p>

<div>I personally try to stay away formany AA that makes me use one type of weapon. Max crits, mantis bolt, and Crane Twirl are the way to go for DPS imho. The only problem you might have is keeping agro off you with this and knockout combination.</div><div> </div><div>Just my 2cp</div>

I've been playing around the thought of going str 448, wis 448 and sta 448. I'll report when I max them out (which will be about next year <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />)<div></div>

<div></div><div></div><p>Thanks for the suggestions,</p><p>I really don't see the barefisted AA an option for bruiser dps...Well maybe on raids with good haste from a Chanter/Illusionist or maybe even Monk lol.</p><p>My main concern was that in T7 currently there are alot of very nice 2handers being offered. Some of the ones I posted above have anywhere from 99.8 DR to 106 DR. Some of the stats on a few of those obviously are not worth it, but the Dps is nice.</p><p>It seems the 2hander Achievement line isn't the way to go however, I think I agree with most of you. The main focus on that IMHO is for extra taunt in large melee (tanking). Since I don't think I'll be tanking in our guild set up, unless there's a significant dps increase with this line, it won't be worth it.</p><p>Which leaves choices for Mantis Bolt and Crane Twirl, since I can't live without my crits!! 4/4/8 Int!</p><p>Is Mantis Bolt 8 = 22 or 24% chance?</p><p>I think I'll still play around with Momentus Clubbing and get some parses down once I have it maxed out. (Godking Baton does work for this.) I've arranged the points so that if I don't go into any of our defensive 4th line of Achievements, I could max out our little dps increases from various trees.</p><p>And Yes Krommus I'm already having some issues with over aggro. :smileyvery-happy:</p><p>Message Edited by Jigokusensei on <span class="date_text">03-29-2006</span><span class="time_text">05:46 AM</span></p>
<div></div><div>Currently I'm working on INT 4,4,8, I have STA 4,4,8, and I am still trying to decide between WIS 4,4,8 and STR 4,4,8,.....</div><div> </div><div>Mantis Bolt is great... I see it representing about 8 to 10% of my damage a lot of the time.. this is nice.. the proc % maxed is 24% and it is a nice boost.</div><div> </div><div>The Int line seems to be helping out, I seem to be seeing a lot more crits now, but at only 4,4,3 there atm so I haven't really looked to see what the change represents as a % of my dps... when it hit +24% inc rate for crits I will measure it</div><div> </div><div>This leaves me with the decision between WIS for AOE dmg (and hopefully additional AOE aggro mgmt) or the STR line....The numbers for the STR line look great, but barefisted? I really would love to see some numbers from someone at 70 who has gone STR 4,4,8 to see how it is working out... also... any trouble hitting raid mobs with fists?.... I love weapons, but if this were really what it looks like it could be... hmmmm... it woould certainly make the illusionist I group with a lot much happier if I went this line rather than the Wis line - I can hear him now..... TURN OFF THAT AOE PROC!!!</div><div> </div><div>I don't see any abilities above the 3rd rank that are worth spending points on</div><p>Message Edited by Cula on <span class="date_text">03-29-2006</span><span class="time_text">11:43 AM</span></p>

<div>Try out STR and u will see, I am yet to compare it with the 2 twin calamnities Duo ( one with debuff other has proc )</div><div>Those weapons are just MEAN they add like 100Str and 50 to others that is not mentioning the procs yet and the dps rating they received. But untill the time i have those i will most likely be fighting barehanded unless they change the fact u proc of the double attack because thats the only thing making this line usefull in anyway.</div><div> </div><div>its defenetly time for SOE to upgrade our DPS Line Buffs tough our add a dps modifier to our offensive stance above on the proc. Haste is more wanted than dps , There are also more classes that perma buff dps as haste. So if u ask me Monks got the better trade off on that part. But in a good group with 100% haste and 100% dps and some nice proc buffs trust me ...</div><div>No tank can keep agro if your doing damage that way. Don't even think about using knockback combination if you are fighting barehanded by the way , it's a deathwish ... ( i found out the hard way , 5 times i used the skill and after 5 seconds i got agro and well yeah 10sec later i was dead alrdy ).</div><div> </div><div> </div><div>Greetings</div><div> </div><div>Daveke</div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div>
<div></div><div></div><p>So you're recommending going for the STR line even though if you find better weapons (the Twin Calamities ones) you will be changing out? I'm confused. I would really like to get some numbers from this line to help make a decision.</p><p>I like the idea you proc off the double attack, it only makes sense. From just looking at it, the combination of double attack, proc off mantis bolt, proc from hate buff, proc from offensive stance, proc from any armor, increased crit rate at +24%.... seems like we could be looking at some really crazy damage if this double attack really works well... I would love to see some numbers on increased in proc rates with it on, etc</p><p>Anybody that has any of that I would love to see it, Thanks!</p><p>Message Edited by Cula on <span class="date_text">03-30-2006</span><span class="time_text">04:26 PM</span></p>
