Brigand vs. Bruiser - need a lil info

<div>I take it that a Brig will out DPS a Bruiser simply cuz he's a scout class... right?  Well, I guess my question is:  How much more dmg will a Brig do over a Bruiser?  And does the Bruisers mitigation, higher defensive nature, etc. make up for his shortcoming on dps compared to the Brig?</div><div> </div><div>I'm looking for a char to roll on PvP server.  I solo the vast majority of the time (PvP, PvE - everything).  I want something melee with high dmg output, aimed at 1v1 fights (don't care about AE).  Bruiser was actually my first choice, but the more I read forums, the more it seems like trying to play anything but a scout class is going to be a headache.</div><div> </div><div>As a Bruiser, how would I typically fair against the countless Scout classes out there in PvP land?  Ppl say that not being able to catch runners is a problem, etc.  Is this reason enough to pick the Brig over the Bruiser?</div><div> </div><div>I've narrowed it down to these 2 classes.  I'm really just torn between the 2 and dunno what to roll and stick with!  Any help is greatly appreciated!</div>

<div></div>dunno bruisers do have trouble w runners, but bruisers do solo well. brigands do a bit more dps, and have great debuffs etc. I guess your best choice is to try a bruiser out if you get frustrated to early w runners then switch to a brigand before its to late.

<div></div><div></div><p>Bruiser are a very potent pvp class, but you will never kill anyone solo.</p><p>Anyone can escape and there is absolutly nothing you can do about it.</p><p>The stun immunity is live (wasn't on most of the time in the pvp beta) so there is no way to lock anyone, period.</p><p>On top of that you're an easy target as you can't escape all the scout, pet mage.</p><p> </p><p>To make it short, bruiser is the suck to solo pvp in the wild though you can have fun in group pvp, but there again the most important is your tactic (the right taunt at the right time) more than your burst damage.</p><p>In group pvp the bruiser are no more than any other tank, they have more damage but that's definitivly not what makes the difference here (other dps class do that better). (ex: guardian/berserk are so good for their taunt interupt every 8 sec which is much better than all our stun)</p><p>For now everyone and their mother play a bruiser cuz they think it is the uber class, though we are not in duel and the pvp rule are real. Still many people still think how uber they will do solo pvping but it doesn't hardly happen to have anyone standing still waiting for you to unleash your uber meteor punch.</p><p>If you don't beleive a word of what I m saying then become a future former bruiser, or actually love the class for what it is because that's the only thing you will have.</p><p> </p><p>Message Edited by Ashdaren on <span class="date_text">03-27-2006</span><span class="time_text">04:04 AM</span></p>
