<div>I have noticed a couple stacking issues with our stuns and was wondering if anyone else has had similar problems.</div><div> </div><div>The issue is that with certain CA combinations, if the mob is stunned the next CA I use with a stun effect does not stun the mob.</div><div> </div><div>When upgrading to iron fist was the first time I noticed it, I would use iron fist to stun the mob then run behind it and use dirty punch, but the stun effect on dirty punch wouldn't work because the stun from iron fist was already on the mob.  I figured this was due to dirty punch being a much lower level skill than iron fist so i used hammer fist until i could upgrade to kidney punch and the problem went away.</div><div> </div><div>Now I am having the same problem again with uppercut if any of my other skill's stuns are on the mob (iron fist, kidney punch, barbarous stomp) then uppercut's stun effect will not land on the mob.  Now uppercut is the highest lvl stun skill i currently have so the logic of my previous problem doesn't hold here, not to mention uppercut is master I, and none of my other stuns are.</div><div> </div><div>anyways, was just wondering if anyone else has had similar issues with stuns, or if it is just something wrong with my toon...</div>

<div></div><p>Well from what I understand you can't stun something if it still is on the immunity timer.</p><p>So I would suggest you stick an attack between your stun combos - so the timer has a chance to reset.</p><p> </p>

<div></div><div></div><p>higher lvl stun will overwrite a lower lvl stun, but not vice versa. Iron fist is higher lvl then dirty punch, hence why dirty punch wont overwrite the stun. And yea, I noticed it to while I was lvling up and  was the 1st time I noticed it. We bruisers have 4 stuns, 3 of them being 4 second stuns and the other is a 2 second stun. The three 4 seconds ones will either overwrite if they are higher lvl, or do nothing. The 2 second stun will stack on top of any of the 4 second stuns. Sooo, this is what I do, if no server lag. Iron fist, 2 other non stun CA's then barbarous stomp line (2 second stun) then dirty punch line. Iron fist stunn will fall off before you use dirty punch, but the barbarous stomp will still be up so you will still have the back attack.  If you have server lag its pretty much impossible to do though, so use the other 4 second stun line, I think dirty punch will overwrite that... I think.</p><p>I'm not exactly sure why the stuns work that way, it either sticks or doesnt. It shouldnt matter if a higher lvl stun is up already. Its gonna be a pain with the dirty punch line in later lvls cause it will never be the highest lvl stun we have, once hitting lvl 70, I dont think anyway. I know, if going by previous lvls, it wont be upgraded in this expansion. Kidney punch I believe will be the highest lvl version, which is lvl 60, and im thinking all the other stuns will be higher lvl. It will still stack with the barbarous stomp line, but if its used in conjuction with any of the other stuns the stun effect on Kidney punch will be null. You basically have to have the mob stunned, unless you're just being the dps role, to use this CA so its kinda lame that the stun on the CA wont even work.</p><p>EDIT: haha I shoulda read your whole post. I dont have any problems using a higher lvl CA/stun over a lower lvl one, they have always overwrote the lower lvl one for me. And they have always stacked with the barbarous stomp line. So maybe as the other replier said you need to throw in some other CA's before you attempt to stun again.  Its really a waste to use stun after stun after stun anyway, its not like it gives you 15 seconds worth of stuns, only like 6 seconds.. stun time and cast time, heh.I dont remember what lvl uppercut is, assuming its higher lvl then iron fist, it should overwrite with no problem.</p><p>Message Edited by sarsippius on <span class="date_text">03-17-2006</span><span class="time_text">12:12 AM</span></p>
