<div>Hi all,</div><div> </div><div>Well I'm a transplant from WoW and currently having a blast - played EQ1 for 4 years and I have to say I'm pretty impressed - less down time, better combat.</div><div> </div><div>I have been reading these forums trying to get a grip on what I need to know. Currently I am lvl 10 and playing on Vox.</div><div> </div><div>Some questions:</div><div> </div><div>1) Where's a good place to download or view maps - the starter city is very confusing - and zones and what not.</div><div> </div><div>2) Is there a place to find out about Bruiser specific quests for gear - like good crushing weapons - fists - and armour upgrades (I'm basically naked right now) Any money I've had is gone from getting love from pvpers haha</div><div> </div><div>3) Any way to tab thru targets? Right now I select one and try to tab thru and it just sits on the one - I have to mouse lclick target to switch targets.</div><div> </div><div>4) Where is the place to buy/sell stuff - in EQ1 it was called the Bazaar - does EQ2 have a similar area?</div><div> </div><div>5) Are there in combat health pots you can use in this game and if so - what are they called and where can I buy them from?</div><div> </div><div> </div><div>Thanks all - so far having a blast</div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div>

<div></div><p>1)  <a target="_blank" href="http://maps.eq2interface.com/">http://maps.eq2interface.com/</a></p><p>2)  <a target="_blank" href="http://eq2.ogaming.com/db/">http://eq2.ogaming.com/db/</a></p><p>3)  Press the Tab key.  If the mob is in the same group as the one you're attacking and in your line of sight, you'll switch to it.  If it's behind you, you may switch to a mob in another group, so be careful if you have summoners in your group assisting you.</p><p>4)  Use your inn room's vault from your starting town to place stuff for sale.  You can also view stuff from there that other players have for sale.  Use the Broker in East Freeport to buy stuff.</p><p>5)  Make friends with an Alchemist or be one yourself.  They can make potions that can heal you, although not very effectively and have a 90s recast.</p><p>-Kald, 66 Bruiser Permafrost</p>

<div></div><p>1)  EQ2Map...download it, best tool ever!</p><p>2)  EQ2OGaming.com</p><p>3)  Not sure if your settings are jacked or something, my TAB button works to cycle through targets.</p><p>4)  Each city has a Broker, you can buy any item a player is selling through the broker.  They are located in QH or North FP in addition to any tradeskill instance.  There is also a 'Black Market Broker' in each city (QH and East FP) that allows you to buy items from the rival city at a much higher broker fee.</p><p>5)  We dont use 'pots' in EQ2, but potions, same thing, just a diff name.  I dont know what effectiveness your used to with these, but in EQ2 they assist you, but by no means are a viable option for healing or whatnot.  The important potions to get are the resist potions that greatly increase your resists to certain mobs.  IMO and it is only MY OPINION, I never used them other then hitting named targets or raids.  Many many ppl believe potions are the end all be all, and that is great, Im just not one of them.  Experiment and see how it fits you.</p>

<span><blockquote><hr><p>3)  Press the Tab key.  If the mob is in the same group as the one you're attacking and in your line of sight, you'll switch to it.  If it's behind you, you may switch to a mob in another group, so be careful if you have summoners in your group assisting you.</p><hr></blockquote>Being aware of which mobs the pets are on is very important. If i plan on switching targets i usually target the mob i want the pets to go to first, build agro and when the pets attack the mob i switch if needed. If the pet gets agro chances are it'll die cause the healers won't be paying attention to its life. Once it dies summoner has all the pets agro plus his own. With rescue down the summoner will be tanking the mob now hehe. When i switch in battle i prefer to use mouse click over tab due to there is a chance you can tab to a mob outside the encounter and if a wizzy or someone is nuking at the time he'lll nuke and get agro from adds then you gotta use more power than needed to pull it off him.</span><div></div>
