My gripe with our class hats

<div>Class hats were a big advertising point for Kingdom of Sky.   However, they didn't mention that some classes would just be carbon copies of existing models.   I noticed that Necromancers and Shadowknights have the same graphic for class hats.  This is ridiculous enough, but the fact that Monks and Bruisers have the same hat as an item from Desert of Flames... well thats just plain lazy. </div><div> </div><div>  Plate tanks are always getting beautiful new armor, from teh T5 fabled silver look, to the Tiger Striped helms and Cold Forged looks from DoF, and now the pretty Scalelord looking plate armor in KoS.  However for the longest time, Brawlers were given the same look, you all know what it is.... the look that look like Augmented leather, or Scaled leather, or Cryptic tunic.. it was all almost exactly the same.  Gi's were kewl, but have always been pretty rare.  We finally get a nice looking Helm graphic in Desert of Flames, (the rice hat).... and they copy it over as our Class Hat graphic for the next expansion.  As a bruiser I feel somewhat ripped off.  </div><div> </div><div>   If you are going to continue to copy graphics from one expansion to another, don't advertise it as something new.  It's very lame.  You obviously had the time to do up a few new graphics for other classes (Which are nice), but it seems like you hit a certain point where you got lazy, or ran out of time..... and said screw it,   and just threw on a new color to an old helm for us.  Shame on you Sony.    Shame on you.  </div>

I can understand why you might jump to this conclusion but it has been stated by the devs that more hats will follow and many classes are merely sharing hats until such time as their new hats are ready.Moorguard stated that the Bruiser will be getting their own unique helm and apparently it's going to be very cool.http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=7&message.id=13195&view=by_date_ascending&page=1I found the above link on this board by typing "bruiser hat" into the search box.I'm not going to have a dig at you here, and I can understand your annoyance, but forums tend to be filled with unnecessary gripes - lets not let this be one of them.Cheers.

/agree with crabI know what MG said but it was maybe that they weren't going to be in pos launch. How do we know this wasn't the look they wanted? They do have a habbit of changing things slightly and saying its diffrent. i really wouldn't be suprised. <div></div><div></div>I also agree with the Crabman.  Bruisers get the shaft on most all armor graphic and fluff additions. I actually liked the first pants from the AQ. But because of the top graphic, it was removed, then we got the monk gi, which was pink on alot of peoples screens.  Then it changed again to the color favored by Mother Earth, brown.  We have gotten a number of Gis, but which are the same model and recolored.  I understand and appreciate the progression they are having the Gi colors symbolize.  Yet when the Gis are really worthless for us at the level we can wear them is kind of a slap in the face, or at the very least a wet willy. I reallt do hope they are bringing out a type of bruiser only hat model, and maybe a seperate AQ for level 70-80.  Epic AQ anyone?  Why does it have to be all about weapons.<i>I still have yet to see my baseballbat with a very large nail in it, but that is just a wish. <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></i>I see kiiiinda why they made Queens Carapace pink/blue.  It would be nicer IMHO to be blue/black<i>[Edit: Thor my man, the Crabster is a wise bruiser to listen to.  He isnt jumping to conclusions here, and posting Troll food.  He has good reasons to make the post he did.]</i><div></div><p><span class="time_text"></span></p><p>Message Edited by ganjookie on <span class="date_text">03-05-2006</span><span class="time_text">09:56 AM</span></p>

<div></div><p>Thor, I remmeber that thread about Bruiser hats being added soon... but that was stated before KoS launch.... how do you know the yucky orange rice hat isn't the one they added... and just added it say a week ago......    After all, be definition, it is unique because of the color.  and weather or not they have all the new hats ready yet.... I am still angry at SOE for once again, selling an unfinished product.  I wouldn't go to a resturant and expcet my food to be uncooked (Unless sushi bar), and I wouldn't expect a new car to not be complete (IE Missing a door or 2), so why do we just happily accept that this expansion wasn't finished?  </p><p> </p><p>  And Phoz, yeah I have about 4 of those tunics, the color is cool, but it's essentially a re-paint.  A step in the right direction for sure though. </p>

bah you actully like the color? I do also admit its a step in the right direction. Its diffrent. I guess i feel its too cartoony. I'd like to see diffrent patterns and such while keeping a mre realistic look. I would kill to have a biker leather look but hey i can dream can't I. <span>:smileyvery-happy:</span><div></div>

<div></div>Moorguard is also the man responsible for the bruiser padded underwear look. We can only hope the orange rice hat is the new look, because if it isn't I am worried whatever MG has planned will be a hideous creation specially designed to <em>his</em> taste and not his customers'.

<div></div>The hats from Blood for the Brood aren't the class specific hats IMO that you are all pointing them to be.  I honestly think that if you want the *real* one you need to be clearing Vaults.  Where Class specific hats *have* dropped.Blood for the Brood = Trash.
