<div>I currently have about 50/60 gold saved and am considering "investing" in either a new weapon(s) or a new chest piece</div><div> </div><div>i pretty much 100% solo and am curious as to which would give me more "bank per buck"</div><div> </div><div>anyway, the options</div><div> </div><div>for chest i was considering the pristine imbued chestpiece (the one with the 36hp self heal "proc&quot<img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></div><div> </div><div>stats wise its a [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] nice upgrade over what i have and i assume the proc would be [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] handy for solo'ing</div><div> </div><div>this runs to about 50 gold or so , so is within my budget</div><div> </div><div>the main alternative i have is a weapons upgrade</div><div> </div><div>atm i dual wield a 12.6 and a 10.4 quality pair (no procs)</div><div> </div><div>i was considering a 34.6 quality 2-hander with gleaming strike proc</div><div> </div><div>would this be substantially better than my dual wield setup? is it as simple as 12.6+10.4=23 quality verusu 34.6 ?</div><div> </div><div>again this runs to 50-60 gold so i should be able to afford it, but any input/opnions appreciatted before i spend all my coin <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></div><div> </div><div>thanks</div><div> </div><div> </div>

<div></div><div></div><p>At 30, I am not so sure you want to drop that much coin...which would be all your coin. You will not live in the 30's all that long prolly and you will be broke afterwards if yu do. What levels are your arts? maybe upgrading those would be cheaper and very effective. Of course, look for the ones that will not be obsolete in a few levels.</p><p>Once you hit mid 30's, you get a bunch of new arts that will upgrade you alot and you will want to spend cash on upgrading those.</p><p>So if you had a ton of cash, then sure, buy way...but if these purchases brake ur budget, then there are better ways to make ur money last. Plus, make sure ur eating an drinkin good food that maxs out ur regen outa combat and gives u some boni in combat possibly. Soloing is all about gettin to the next mob to kill, so the fast u regen the faster you xp.</p><p>I personally in your shoes would just search the broker and the fence each day to get used to what is priced at what...you will stumble across great deals somewhat regualry and won't have to send a ton either.</p><p>In regards to your math..you are correct...just add em up.:smileywink:</p><p>Edit...if you are still in your AQ armor, then you will want to buy a new set and if you have 50-60 G, that will not go a super long way. I would buy basic stuff to get outa the AQ, and look for good deals on the broker for both weapons and armor(unless you can find a weapnsmith and tailor). In otherwards, try to stay balanced with everything and once you have enough to splurge in the future, go with an Uber Weap or Armor....but you will outgrow 30'3 prolly fast so dunt drop a ton....you last longer in upper levels and then it's wiser to splurge.</p><p>If I were you, I would go around harvesting like mad in EL an ZEK for rares to make good spells and armor, plus make a ton of cash selling the ones you dun need. I like ZEk the best....less agro even though those roaming Orcs can suprise ye, but I had a blast working through here and soling Orcs and Harvesting.</p><p>Cheers to ye and hope this helps. If I am wrong, you will know it soon.:smileysurprised:</p><p> </p><p>Message Edited by Pnaxx on <span class="date_text">03-01-2006</span><span class="time_text">02:43 PM</span></p>

<div>yeah thanks for the advice (sorry i haven't replied sooner not been on much)</div><div> </div><div>i don't play so much (and usually spend half my time playing "catch-up" with lowbie quests solo</div><div> </div><div>whislt your obviously correct about me outgrowing the gear relatively quickly, due to the fact that i level so slowly, i might go ahead and spend the money</div><div> </div><div>last question (i promise) how long will a level 30 weapon/armour remain "usuable" and not go grey?</div><div> </div><div>thanks again</div>

<div></div>What DarkMirrax said...the guy in Zek to see is named Hammer and he gives a series of fairly easy quests that will get you some decent armor for that level.  Personally I'd use that armor and if you have to spend money (burnin' a hole in your pocket) upgrade your combat arts.
