I know this has been discussed already, and affects all other players as well, but I gotta vent a bit. I allowed my bruiser to level from 30 to 31 last night (turned xp back on =P), and ended up losing 4% avoidance, due to my max AGI raising, and my Current AGI/Max Agi percentage dropping. Ouch! My gear is 75% fabled, and the remainder is legendary, so there's not a lot I can do gear-wise to catch up. My buffs/CA's are all master or master 2. Does it matter? Yes. I definately noticed the mobs hitting me more, at level 31, than I was getting hit at level 30. I hope this is fixed soon, it just seems so wrong that I'm lessened after leveling. I also lost a few max damage points for my CA's (it was about 4 or 5 points of damage on most CA's) because my STR percentage lowered, but I wasn't as dissapointed about that as I was with the avoidance reduction.<div></div>

<div></div><p>Well one factor is that the display is for YOU vs MOB YOUR LEVEL, and your skills are now at the bottom of the level.</p><p>So where you were at the top of your level (154 vs lvl 30 mobs), you are now at the bottom (155 vs lvl 31 mobs). You will catch up some when you get near the top of your level (159 vs lvl 31 mobs).</p><p>You are still better against lvl 30 mobs.. it's just that the display is no longer considering them in the equation. You skill in defense is going up linearly, you display just jumps by 5 on the other side of the equation.</p><p> </p><p>So the difference isn't AS big as the display says... but I agree, the "chase the cap" faulty mechanic is annoying as hell.</p>

Thanks for the reminders. I did think about level 31 vs level 30 mobs, and was pretty sure that overall i would be better against the level 30s. I really am getting hit more, i noticed it quite quickly. I didnt even think about parry not being maxed. I havent played him much since dinging, but XP is off, and I will definately be getting some parry practice in. So hopefully my avoidance will creep back up again and I will enjoy the really high avoidance I had before. (it was just a tad over 75% when I was 30. it is currently 70.3%).Am I right in saying that losing strength % truely downgraded (not much) my effective dps against mobs lower level than I? My CAs are reporting a few points less hit potential than before...I assume this applies to ALL mobs, not just even con? I know for sure on my wizzy if it says the max damage is 2000, and i level and now the max is 1980 due to the INT percentage drop, the max really is 1980 for ANY level mob (those numbers were just made up examples).Thanks<div></div>

Wow. Do many people play the game this way? Most people I know are simply trying to level as quickly as possible and don't worry about min/maxxing their gear and skills until their level is capped. You seem to be pushing for the very best gear and skills at every possible level to the point where you turn off your experience until you have attained the gear and skills that you want.I'm just curious how common this is, since it seems like a different way to experience the game.<div></div>

This affects every single class in the game and is plain and simple stupid design. People have complained since the change was made but the devs dont really give a [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn], or just dont see a way around it. It doesnt bring the game to a screetching hault, it just makes leveling not quite as rewarding. With a lack of gear it makes it hard, especially for classes that don't specialize in one stat, wizards and warlocks have it rough, losing their spell damage if they dont gain 7int every level, but they only need int, bruisers have to raise agi and str...7 to both per level is very hard, especially at lower levels. The same thing happens with other classes..like shadowknights who need str and int, paladins...all healers..its something that needs to be fixed but has been [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn]ed about for months so im guessing we're looking at LU30 before its changed. -sigh-<div></div>

<div></div><p>Hell.. crusaders have the worst of it I think..</p><p>Strength for some of their power and their melee damage.Agility for their avoidance.Stamina for their health.Wisdom for the other half of their power and resists.Intelligence for the other part of their damage (a bunch of their attacks, if not more than half, are SPELLS!)</p><p>Not sure if Stamina has the same problem (never seen my bonus hp go DOWN as I level... but that might be because we also get additional hp for simply leveling.. so it's entirely possible there too).</p><p> </p><p>We've had Dev response on this on more than one occasion. They've acknowledged the problem, said outright "<strong>We didn't intend that you'd lose damage as you level, that goes against the idea of getting better from leveling</strong>". Slightly paraphrasing there, but that's nearly exactly the response I read.</p><p>However, they've been able to finish and release one expansion, start, work on and release ANOTHER expansion (let alone an entirely new game mechanic!) still without ANY indication that it's gone beyond the "<em>we know there's a problem</em>" stage.</p><p>I wouldn't hold my breath on this one.</p>

Even not really trying, I managed to level my wizzy to 60 in relatively short time. I barely got to see the content, thank god for mentoring. I'm really still working on T5 and finally getting more into T6 content now. Hell, I rolled a necro the other day, and got to level 13 without even blinking. I've already turned his XP off as well, so that I can check out the new content on the lower end tiers. Now, with my bruiser I'm going to play each tier until i'm sick of them. I currently have a thing for Fallen Gate and RoV, what fun zones =). I played the wailing caves forever, but I'm over them now. Had a blast for about 4 weeks in there, hehe. Helped a lot of people out, got a lot of nice loot, and gave a lot of it away. Good times.2) It is really hard for me to come by money and/or raids to [Removed for Content] out my level 60 wizzy. The higher tiers are of course more expensive. Not only that, but another freaking expansion just came out! no way am I dumping any large amounts of cash on items that will lose their worth soon. Now, my bruiser is a different story. It is a lot easier to find and pay for level 30ish fabled items for him. In the course of a couple of months I've been able to get a lot of his gear fabled, legendary, and has all but 3 masters. It's really nice to see what toons are capable of, and my bruiser allowed me to get there.I'm a wonderful cashflow for SOE, hehe.</span><div></div>
