just a quick simple question really..was wondering what kinda neat fighting animation the bruiser class has? just a short desription will do. Debating monk or bruiser on the new pvp server, thanks.

Message Edited by Maelven on 02-15-200610:10 PM

Well, bruiser animations look like, well, punches. I think they could have done a better job animating the bruiser while in combat, since just chillin there and taking swings every now and then does get a little boring. The monk animations I think look a little better, with a more karate-master style incorporated into the design.

In PvP, bruisers will likely more dps than monks, but monks shall have slightly better defense. Other slight differences such as group-heal w/ longer recast or self heal should be considered as well. Overall, both will be good fighter classes, and will both provide good dps while taking the hits. The only thing I see as a downside to them is their low number of taunts (compared to zerkers, guards, etc.)

I switch to an ironwood bo staff at different intervals during the day to avoid slitting my wrist from the dual wield combat animations. Using your chat window to hide your character probably works well too.

funny, i prefer bruiser animation to monk animations. All that jumping around seems silly to me

How about these for example...

For the animation on a combat art with a stun (not a kick) the Bruiser gives the mob a good old fashioned head butt. Granted I don't know how that would look on giants ( head butt to the ankle?:smileytongue .Or how about on a combat art with a knockdown/knockback (again not a kick art) the Bruiser lets fly with a massive uppercut that sends the mob flying. Or how about a stun or knockdown art that uses a graphic similar to the wrestler Goldbergs spear.
