<div>Hi folks, coming back to game, since I no longer need to worry about the small little guild I was part of in WoW, with some rl friends of mine have merged into a raiding guild.</div><div> </div><div>Basically, looking at playing a Ratonga Bruiser, mainly cause I think I could get some real good roleplay out of it, and have a lot of fun with it.</div><div> </div><div>To be honest, I will probably group with folks, once I get to know people, but for the most part, specially in the beginning, I will be soloing alot.</div><div> </div><div>So am I going down the road of a lot of pain, or will this be ok. I know their str is low to start with, but I know at the end, it wont be that big of a deal.</div><div> </div><div>Thanks for any help.</div>

I play a ratonga bruiser also, noticed no real drawbacks for playing one.  Ratonga actually get a decent amount of good racial trait abilities that will help you as a bruiser, including deaggro which I don't think any other race gets.<div></div>

<div>I play a gnome bruiser, I don't know how our stats compare to a ratonga but I'm pretty sure my arms are scrawnier than yours.  I love being a shorty that kicks booty - I spent most of my first 50 levels soloing/duoing and did a-ok.  If that's the combo you want to play, play it, you'll be great. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></div>

<div>I hit 45 on my Rat bruiser last night.  And really I have no problems with the race.  I tank yellow heroics and epic mobs with minimal healing.  I can hit close to 70% avoidance and still have plenty of mitigation.  My damage parses out near the top in most groups, at the top in some others.  I have plenty of HP and power.  What more could you ask for?  In the end it really does not matter, play what is enjoyable to you.</div>

<div></div><p>First, it is always better to go with the look and feel, and be happy with who you are.  It's like the old test taking addage regarding multiple-choice - when in doubt, stick to your first answer, you're more likely to be right.</p><p>Second, as you level, the amount of difference decreases.  Likely a barbarian bruiser will hit harder and have more power for CAs at level ten, but the differences at 20 and 30 will seem miniscule, and after that likely not exist at all.</p><p>There is no best class, there is no best race.  Play what you WANT, and you will be fine.</p><p>Madmoon</p><p>Shaman</p>
