What exactly does Indomitable Will do?

Whenever an NPC places a debuff on you that is based on the Mental resist, you can use Indomitable Will to try and cure it. The success rate is determined by the "rank" of Indomitable Will, ie. Apprentice 1, 2, 3, 4, Adept 1, 3, Master 1, or Master 2, as well as your own level vs the NPC's level that cast the effect (Least that's what personal experience dictates).<span><blockquote><hr><a href="http://eq2players.station.sony.com/en/classes/index.vm?classId=5" target="_blank">www.eq2players.com</a> wrote:<div>Dispels hostile mental effects on the brawler. I picked this up as a master because it was stupidly cheap, but I've not noticed any great effect from using it.  How do you know when to use it without risking dying mid fight studying the DoTs / debuffs on you?  Does it work on mangle for example?<div></div>
