<DIV>I was wondering since that I burn through power rather fast w/ my 24 Bruiser if I should take the PP 5/ tick regen option. I am torn between that and the straight up +2.5% hp one.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Just looking for opinions is all.</DIV>

Since they made our self heal require power, I took the 5pt regen or whatever just once. Previously I was regening 4 power per tick, now I do 10. Helps a lot when you are OOP and need that heal. All other times I took the HP and defense choices. <div></div>

<P>I personally took the +2.5% to heath pool both times. As a tank HP is king as far as stats go, espesially when avoidence is streacky and when you get hit you will be getting chunks taken out of you. Power seem to regen fine as long as you use quality drink. I also made it a point to make friends with dirges, troubs, and chanters.</P> <P>With a dirge and a t6 drink going I can go all out taunting and using CA's with abandon and I rarely drop below 75-80% power unless it is a long drawn out group fight. In a quick dps group were you are dropping mobs in a few seconds power drain is almost nonexistant as I regen to almost full by the time I pull the next mob(s).</P> <P>I also solo quite a bit, and never really had problems with power, since I am timeing my CA's alot more when soloing rather than trying to max my straight out dps with taunts thrown in to maintain agro.</P> <P> </P> <P>Kainn ~ 60 Iksar Bruiser</P> <P>Everfrost ~ "The Horde"</P> <P>Been there, Seen that, Been killed by it, Came back and kicked its [Removed for Content]!!</P>

<DIV>i took power regen both times. 90% of the time i am not main tank, and am doing dps, so power regen really helps.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>and food/drinks only work OUTSIDE of combat</DIV>

<P>Cool thanks guys for the response thinking of doing a bit hyrid of both first time power regen second time straight up health. I will be duoing w/ this toon alot (or at least that is the plan).</P> <P> </P> <P>My other tanks made were Paladins, and a Guardian so trying to see what the bruiser community felt. </P>

I personally took the power regen every time for that choice.. but took defensive and Stamina choices for everything else. The 2.5% isn't that huge of an advantage (gives you about 25 extra points on every 1000), however power regen can help immensely... I've used it both for when I'm DPSing and need power for skills.. or when I'm tanking a long fight and need to keep aggro from the casters that can cannibilize and always have more power than me.

<P>Its been so long, im just curious if the power regen is IN combat or OUT of combat, If its in combat.. the obvious choice is power regen if its out of combat, then I would say the 2X 2.5% hp's</P> <P>Can anyone confirm?</P> <P> </P> <P>-BP</P>

Power regen is NOW in combat previously was OOC afaik. The 2.5% max hp boost x2 = about 250 hp at 5000hp remeber it does not include buffs just base hp + sta buffs. In combat power regen unbuffed is 5 power per tick. So the choice is either 3x in combat power regen unbuffed or an extra ~250 hp.

<DIV>go power regen</DIV>
The maths isn't too tricky.+5 power regen gives an extra 5 power every 6 seconds, or 50 power per minute, in combat.+2.5% power pool gives an extra 25 power for each base 1000 power you have.So if you have 1000 power, the +power regen is better for a fight lasting more than 30 seconds. If you have 2000 power, +power regen is better if the fight is longer than 1 minute.Or the other way around, +power pool is only better in a 3 minute fight if you have 6000 base power. That ignores regen between fights, but basically it depends on whether you want to boost your capability vs high end targets/epics, to maximise your available power in short fights, or to boost your ability to chain pull a little.
